OT: Creepy!!!
I'm probably blowing this out of proportion, but this creeped me out!!
Since we're looking to raise our adoption fees without going into debt, I've been searching for frugal-living discussion boards. I found a one that gave lots of great tips, and I was excited! I joined and told my little story, including why we were looking to save money. Someone responded to the thread that I reminded her of someone she knew from another board. I thought it might be this one, so I PM'ed her and asked her which board she was referring to. My mouth dropped - it was a board that got ugly and nasty, one that I left with a very sour taste in my mouth. This person was NOT rude or weird or anything. I guess I just don't like the idea that this person might be someone that was so ugly to me - or that still affilliated with those people. I know, I know - - it's so "highschool-ish" of me!! LOL  (I LOVE that emoticon - it's so perfect for the little tantrum I am having now!!) LOL Okay. . I'm over it. . .

Nov. 08 Met with 2 agencies. Decided on one. Want to save/earn the adoption fees without incurring any debt if possible. Will wait until April to apply. Praying, praying, praying! Dec. 08 Got foster parent license. First placement FS 7 Mar. 09 Second placement! FS 2-mo. (RU a couple weeks later) Apr. 09 Attended adoption agency orientation meeting. Still working on saving the adoption fees. Jun. 09 Soooo close to getting "signed up" with agencies.

No, I don't think so. At least I don't think there weren't any parents who indicated that they adopted at that other board.
Just writing that original post made me realize how incredibly stupid I was for getting worked up about it. It was petty!

The world is a small place, and so is the Internet. I hear about people accidently running into each other all the time on the 'Net.
There are two birthmoms here on these forums who were forum buddies over 10 years ago on a self-help group on CompuServe. Neither of them knew that the other was a birthmom back in those days. This past year, they discovered each other here on Adoption.com. It was really cool to see happen.
