Photography enthusiast?- post your favorite shots!
Hi,
This thread is for those of us that love to take photos be it at a professional level or ameteur/learner such as myself. I have taken 1000's of shots over the years most turn out "ok", some "totally suck" and others I think are "very good". No real rules, if you enhanced or cropped let us know... If your work is copyright protected please add copyright info onto the photo before posting. Please keep it clean!!! I'll start- I love landscape photos! I seem to gravitate towards landscapes moreso than any other shots. Let's see your work!!!

July 06-March 09 Several situations that didn't work out.. Our baby will find us,  until then...We are 4-everwaiting for our angel  It finally happened after over 2.5 years of waiting, our angel found us!!! ... Baby Girl Born March 10th! Home forever March 19th, 2009

Wow. Your pictures are absolutely incredible. I love shots with the beach or any water scenes. I've always been drawn to the water. There's something calming in the sound and the smell of the beach and the sand. Love the sunset photo. I'll post some pictures later. Just popped in before going to work.

Ok 4ever . . . it's a little intimating after your photos! But I'll throw in a few I like.

Oh this is right up my alley, especially since my husband came home today with my "I'm sorry you're in bed bawling about the failed match" present...a Canon Rebel XSI! Now I just need to figure out to use the darn thing!
How do you change the colors like in the pumpkin one?

Amazing shots both of you!
I have a decent camera (Nikon d40) but my pictures are just really average. It seems every time I make some tweaks, the result is worse! Here are two of my favorite pictures (of my kids of course as I rarely take pictures of anything else). The first one is cropped.

Gorgeous shots everyone!
I'm more of a objects in a light tent kind of photo taker at the moment, but these here are some of my favorite "from my backyard" shots. Nothing fancy or altered outside of sizing (cropping on the tree shot), just the ones I seem to like the most and could find quickly. what editing program do you use? I'm probably going to need to get a new one if I don't like the one that came with my camera.
The place I got my camera offers a free class with the purchase of a camera...maybe I can ask there.

I use Paint Shop Pro 5 the most, I bought it several years ago... I don't think they offer that version anymore. I think they are selling version x1 now. It advances so fast. Usually the higher the number the more advanced the program.
If they offer free tutorials on a particular program, I'd take it!!! Edited after reading your reply, Usually the programs they send with camera do very little true editing other than color enhances or fix, lighting and cropping... Photo Shop is good, but wouldn't allow me to undo several steps back... Its a good program once you learn a little about it! The older version doesn't have all the bells and whistles which is a bit overwhelming at times-especially when your new. S

I like taking picture, but I LOVE digital scrapbooking. The first picture has been cropped. The second picture is a scrapbook page I made of Baby A on Thanksgiving. The last on was changed to black and white.
