digital effects/enhancement

These photos were taken several years ago when dh and I took my niece to the beach...

They have been cropped and digitally enhanced.

ghost: adding one layer to another layer to create a "ghosting effect".

colorizing: coloring highlighted areas of a photo from (black and white or sepia) original.

Thanks!!

4ever - That ghosting effect is really neat. I just recently figured out how to layer photos with my program. I will definitely have to experiment more with that!

Fun, I love looking at everyone's photos. I'm just starting to take on photo gigs with friends. Someday I might go pro, but for now it's just family (and those friends that can talk me into a photo shoot).

I post process vertually all of my photos, tweeking color saturation or cropping. I use Picasa mostly, but for anything that requires layers I use the software that came with my camera (Canon Digital Rebel).

I'm going to try to upload photos...

Yeah, the pictures attached.
Here are a few more...
The photo of my husband and myself was from the photo shoot that we did for a picture for the front of our adoption profile. I set up the shot then had my mom take the picture. We didn't use this shot, but we both really liked it.

I have a canon digital rebel XT. It's a few years old, but it's fine for getting into photography. The plan is for me to get better at my technique then upgrade to a new canon (so all my lenses will still fit).

This camera was a gift a few years back and so I have, by default, gone with Canon over Nikon. Though I have learned to love my Canon.

I just got a Canon digital Rebel XSI yesterday. It has so many features that I don't know how to use!

My idea for my Christmas card is to take a picture of DD in a Santa hat and then have the whole picture be black and white except for the red in the hat. Can someone help me with that if I get stuck??
