These are a few of my faves.

As you can see, I really like taking pics of my kid eating. The last one is an artichoke flower taken at Mt. Vernon.

Oooh, great idea!!

Here are a few pics I have taken. Nothing great, by far, but just something I enjoy doing!

A couple of them have been re-sized to fit, but that's it.

I like to play around with the color saturation. For the pumpkin shots I lowered the saturation to sort of fade out the duller colors and bring out the subject. I use Printshop ProPhoto but don't necessarily recommend that program. Mine is years old and I'm searching for something more advanced.

This is a really great thread 4ever! I'm so inspired by everyone's artistry. I've really got to get out more with my camera.

Here's a few I grabbed...

I did a whole beach shoot of my niece that I'll post later, but I have to find them. I don't ask for releases on my photo shoots so I can't post any of those

These are all black and white, and have been fussed with in various ways. One selective color that needs more work.

I hope these turn out - my pics always seem to lose their clarity when I shrink them in order to attach...

I find it so funny that this thread started today, the day that I got my digital SLR!!!

Does anyone have an editing program that they recommend?

For basic stuff like cropping and minor lightening/color correction, I use the free program Picasa. It's awesome for if you want to correct and resize a bunch of photos at once. I use it constantly to resize photos for my job (online retailer ... and I have to have three different sizes of each photo). The image correction possibilities are kinda limited, though.

For more complicated image correction (and also for laying out my profile pages), I use an old version of Photoshop ... 7.0.1. My sister is a professional photog, so she taught me a lot of neat tricks with it.

Oceanica, my daydream is a D90 camera and a new version of Photoshop! Oh well, I'll manage with my D70 for now.

ETA: And thanks!
