Tuesday Fun Thread
I heard this question yesterday and thought it was so interesting. At this stage in your life:
What do you know is true? For instance what have you learned is for sure true about life. I know you aren't all as old as me but I know most of you are wiser! I'll go first: I know this is true: Kindness goes a looooooooong way. Usually the outcome is somewhere between the best and the worst case scenario. Money doesn't buy happiness. If it seems too good to be true it probably is (sorry!) The people who annoy us most are those who mirror something we don't like about ourselves. How about you?

Oh my gosh, I'll have to think on this one. Which is odd, because I am forever thinking of "things that I know are true."
The first thing that popped into my mind is that successful communication usually starts with seeking to understand, then be understood. I'll be back!!

I Know this is true:
True love takes time, patience and respect. Our parents are wiser than we give them credit for! Friends will come and go, but family sticks by you through anything and everything. Sometimes you have to kiss a lot of "frogs" to find your prince! edited to add... To give from the heart is truely more rewarding than to receive. S

1993 decided to start a family 1995 discovered problems 1995-1998 fertility Drs and surgeries 1999-2003 break from it all 2003-2005 thought about adoption but trying to find a way to afford it. 2006 decided to do whatever it took to create a family. Money should not decide a family! January 2006 gathering information applying for homestudy. July 2006 homestudy completed- we are officially waiting! July 06-March 09 Several situations that didn't work out.. Our baby will find us,  until then...We are 4-everwaiting for our angel  It finally happened after over 2.5 years of waiting, our angel found us!!! ... Baby Girl Born March 10th! Home forever March 19th, 2009

For mine... (got ideas from you!) If you're going through a tough phase, it won't last forever People who don't like being told they are wrong are usually the ones who know they are wrong Kindness is often unrewarded (sorry Storm!) ... but real kindness isn't done to get something in return The real generosity acts are the ones you never hear about Friends come and go indeed... even the best ones Often when you worry about something, it will work itself out Dogs bark (LOL sorry I can't help it, but sometimes I wish they didn't!) If you feel strongly about something, you can make it work Hangovers stinks

If people talk about others TO you, then chances are they are talking to others ABOUT you...
Some things, the little things, just aren't worth fighting for. Save your energy for the big things... You can't see the "good" in things/people if you spend all your time looking for the "bad". You can't fix another person no matter how much you want to. You are not responsible for another person's actions - only your reaction towards them... Time goes by too quickly...slow down and enjoy the moments with the ones you love.

I'm probably the oldest mom on here so here I go with what I've learned:
1. There's nothing like a girlfriend to truly listen and not judge. 2. Whether you've given birth to a child or adopted a child, the love is exactly the same. 3. Judging people has no merit. 4. A good man is hard to find. 5. Worrying accomplishes absolutely nothing. 6. A sense of humor is priceless to a relationship. 7. Children need, more than anything, parents that are there for them every single day.
