Heart I got it!!!!
I went by the adoption agency this afternoon and picked up DS birth cert.!!!!

I am soooo happy to be finallly done DONE!!

What a crazy fun ride this year has been. Just think last year this time I was in the process of doing my homestudy and now I just a plain ole mom

1993 decided to start a family
1995 discovered problems
1995-1998 fertility Drs and surgeries
1999-2003 break from it all
2003-2005 thought about adoption but trying to find a way to afford it.
2006 decided to do whatever it took to create a family. Money should not decide a family!
January 2006 gathering information applying for homestudy.
July 2006 homestudy completed- we are officially waiting!

July 06-March 09 Several situations that didn't work out..

Our baby will find us, until then...

We are 4-everwaiting for our angel

It finally happened after over 2.5 years of waiting, our angel found us!!! ... Baby Girl Born March 10th!

Home forever March 19th, 2009

Supa, congrats; it is exciting isn't it? My age is showing; when I saw the topic my first thought was "Are You There God, It's Me, Margaret" by Judy Blume. Ahhh 6th grade. All you other 40 something mom's might know what I'm talking about

6/08 Decided to adopt
8/1/08 First meeting with home study agency
8/19/08 Fingerprints
8/19/08 Signed contract with facilitator
11/21/08 Facilitator officially began showing profiles
11/20/08 Home study paperwork complete
12/15/08 Home visit with social worker
1/7/09 Home study complete!
1/09 Profiled and spoke to bmom for sibset of 3 ... had to back out
3/09 Profiled and spoke to bmom for 6yo boy ... not chosen

YAY!!!! It took us 13 months to get ours (!!!), so it was a little "anticlimactic" but I know it is such a great feeling!

10-11/07 - We complete home study visits, requirements, and paperwork!
12/17/07 - Our home study is approved by the agency director.
01/27/08 - We get a for a baby boy who is less than 24 hours old! We submit and get the call 1 hour later that we should get on a !
01/28/08 - Tyler is in our arms! He is less that 48 hours old
11/15/08 - FINALIZE in St. Louis on National Adoption Day!
06/25/09 - Start the offical paperwork to update our homestudy and make Tyler a big brother.

Awesome!! There's just something about seeing your own name on that sheet of paper, isn't there? Such a simple thing but yet it means everything.
