If it makes you feel any better - I work for the state doing foster care adoptions - they are just as nasty to state workers as everyone else. I think it must be a requirement to be hired!

Storm (and others) - wow, I am so sorry!! I had no idea that it could be that hard.
With both boys, I had researched it on the Internet first. Bing bang boom - 5 minutes in and out. Why don't you all come here? We can go to our friendly and not busy office. Social Security # Party!! Woooo HOOOOO!!!

To me it's a kicker they want the immunization record. What if you said, we don't see a Dr, it's against our religon. What would they want then? What they want is so random. I'm going to bring ever piece of paper with Ty's name on it. I don't have the amended BC yet though, so I think I'm only going to get the Identification number, or whatever it is. I'm going wait and do it in Jan...

Yes-the temp # is good for 2 years, then the IRS will inactivate it.
