What do your kids want for Christmas?

I am perplexed:

My three year old told me that Santa is bringing him "a motorcycle, a flashlight, a scooter and cigarettes."

I really have no idea where he is getting this. I have been telling him since he could talk that he can't have a motorcycle until he is 57. He already has two flashlights and a scooter - he says he needs more. And cigarettes? I have no idea where he gets this stuff. We don't smoke and I think that the only exposure to smoking is passing people outside a store.

So - what do I get him for Christmas?

What about a bike that looks like a motorcycle? I've seen those before...and my kids get flashlights every year...somehow that always makes it on their list.

This year, my boys want Lego sets...AJ also wants a Nintendo DS, but I told him that I'm not sure if Santa will bring him something like that, but that it never hurts to ask (he is getting one, by the way.)

I remember when AJ turned 3...he asked for a ham.

What DON'T they want would be a shorter list

Diva wants BOTH the animatronic horse and dog. And Bratz dolls, and a doll that potties, and pretty much every Barbie ever made...

Taz wants the animatronic Dinosaurs. And hotwheels, and anything else he thinks is cool.

The Princess is mercifully too young to come up with "I want" yet.

Ya know, every November I swear I'm hiding the TV next year...around Hallowe'en, to get rid of the freaking toy commercials...I may really do it next year.

My reborn is perfectly emotionally healthy, thank you very much. Just like her Momma.

Funny, my son hasn't consistently asked for anything specific. Except Transformers.

Be careful with that DS. I bought one for Q last Christmas. I had so much fun, I bought myself one for my birthday! I love it and play with it almost everyday. I was great when I was in the hospital. I did crosswords for 5 days!

This year I bought a PS2 for him. And games we could play together!

yeah - I saw some sort of meditation-type game for the DS, and DH told me in no uncertain terms that if I got a DS then I had to give up the computer...lol

It took my kids a while to even think of something to ask...I think it's because they are inundated with soo many toy commercials on tv like melissa mentioned (by the way melissa - did you hear that pin drop? )

Every time a commercial comes on tv, the boys say "That's on my list - that's on my list. When the tv is off, they were hard pressed thinking of exactly what they want...Now it's the legos and the DS.

AND HEY- c.a.!!! Check this out!!!

My kids got one a few Christmas's ago - it's like a 3 wheeled battery powered ride on...Cracks me up watching it go down the street.

Here's one, but it's a little on the expensive side, and built a bit different than the one that JD has - so not sure about how "great" it rides...

That's sooo funny!!! When Maire-Kate was five, she wrote a list for Santa and asked for a magic wand. She had about 5 or 6 magic wands already. I said why do you want another one, you already have so many. She said "None of them work".

When anyone asks Hanna what she wants, she says "a toy". She likes Santa Claus but she doesn't want him to come to our house. When I asked her why, she said "He'll take all our stuff". I think she mixes up Santa with the Grinch

THERE ARE EIGHT DIFFERENT WAYS YOUR CHILD CAN DIE ON A CORDED WINDOW TREATMENT
Read "How Safe Cords Kill" at www.pfwbs.org

THREE CHILDREN HAVE STRANGLED TO DEATH SINCE ANGEL DIED ON 8/11/09.
Brandyn Coppedge died on 9/11/09. Rosie Smith died on 9/30/09 and Thapelo Kwofie died on 11/1/09. The Consumer Product Safety Commission is no longer recommending safety kits. They are now recommending that anywhere children live or visit should be free of corded window products.

My DD wants a baby sister for Christmas. I tried to explain to her that, darn it, you just can't wait until November to ask for something like that !!!!!
Seeing the post about the ham reminded me of the year that my DS was 4. The only thing he would say he wanted was a Peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Santa must have thought he was pretty deprived when he told him that !!!!

When DH's cousin was 4 he ask for purple panty hose he got them and to this day has not lived it down. He's now a Sr in high school so we are wondering if that picture will wind up in the yearbook this year!!!

Castle's list is pretty short this year but has remaind the same for months. Santa is bringing a train table with train and furniture for the Dora Welcome Home house that Granny and Granddaddy are getting and the other grandparents are getting a waterbaby. She wants a hoodie from her dance studio so that is what Mommy and Daddy are getting. Of course there are other things but these are the ones she has ask for over and over.
