Stuck in Tampa Area
The amazing news, we have our baby boy! He was born on November 20, weighing 7 pounds 1 ounce, now up to 7 pounds 5 ounces! He is healthy and amazing! We are so thankful for our baby boy and our 15-month-old little girl!
The not so good news, we're stuck here until next week. We were trying to get out by Thanksgiving, but we didn't make it. Does anybody know of any fun things to do with a 15-month-old who runs to our hotel door, saying "go"? We've been to Fort De Soto beach twice, the aquarium, and to some playgrounds (although we would love to find some new playgrounds). Going stir crazy.....thanks  .

Congratulations AdoptInMe!!!! Sorry, no adivce here, we live in FL about 6 hours from Tampa... Bush Gardens is nice this time of year!

1993 decided to start a family 1995 discovered problems 1995-1998 fertility Drs and surgeries 1999-2003 break from it all 2003-2005 thought about adoption but trying to find a way to afford it. 2006 decided to do whatever it took to create a family. Money should not decide a family! January 2006 gathering information applying for homestudy. July 2006 homestudy completed- we are officially waiting! July 06-March 09 Several situations that didn't work out.. Our baby will find us,  until then...We are 4-everwaiting for our angel  It finally happened after over 2.5 years of waiting, our angel found us!!! ... Baby Girl Born March 10th! Home forever March 19th, 2009

MOSI is mediocre but it is something to do, and not far up on the same street is a fairly good mall (I was just there and Burlington coat factory has the absolute cutest stuff for kids)
and the USF campus which has some free gardens to walk through.

Congratulations on your baby boy!!!!
 Another suggestion is you can get together with all the people in Tampa! C'mon forum members....who has extra room at the table for Thanksgiving and needs a buddy for a playdate on Friday??? Sincerely, your holiday Social Director....

Congratulations! Buy some bubbles and a soft ball. You can play with them almost anywhere. Does your hotel have a pool? We can kill amazing amounts of time at the pool.

Yes, our hotel has a pool, but it has been chilly a lot of the time that we've been here. Some 60 degree days and some just barely 70 days. The next few days should be warmer, though. Here are some pics, I finally figured out how to do it

Lived in Tampa for a long time......Busch Garden is awesome this time of year, also the Lowery park Zoo is great. Clearwater beach is fun even when its cool out. Downtown St Pete has a great waterfront area and the boat parade is one of these weekends. Tyron Mall has a kiddie play area ...let me think - I lived there before kids

Just wanted to say congrats!
Our son was born in Tampa too. I wish I could suggest fun things for you to do, but we didn't do too much other than eat (so much great food there!) and spend LOTS of money at Target . We did walk by the bay and went to a really big mall (can't remember the name). Sorry, I'm not much help, but just wanted to tell you congratulations and that he really is adorable!
