hey...

Just thought I'd start a thread for people to post ideas and suggestions for those interested in sending some holiday cheer to our troops. Not so much a list of supplies they want or anything (although you certainly can) but programs, stores, sites etc. that participate in helping to spread some holiday cheer overseas.

No pressure, it's not a "HEY GIVE TO THE TROOPS OR ELSE!" thread. I just know that several people have mentioned it and figured there might be more out there who are interested.

Here's my "tidbit"

I just got a catalogue from Hickory Farms and they are doing free shipping to the APO/FPO addresses to help support the Troops.

If you go to Let's Say Thanks you can pick a card and Xerox will print and send it to a soldier for free.

There's an email circulating right now regarding Christmas Cards for recovering troops. The address in that email may be incorrect (it was in the one I got).

Here's the correct info:

Holiday cards should be mailed to:
Holiday Mail for Heroes
P.O. Box 5456
Capitol Heights, MD. 20791-5456

All cards must be postmarked no later than Dec. 10. Cards should not be mailed or delivered to Walter Reed Army Medical Center.

Binky...Funny...I just got that email about Walter Reed today and I had told the SAME sender LAST YEAR that it wasn't valid. Sigh...
