I just had to comment on this because I love it! To think of the bfamily as the "roots" to the tree is amazing...Just like the tree has many branches, the tree has many roots. They are just as important. I like that.

I don't know how I would do this....Haven't had it come up yet! I guess if DD were old enough, I would ask her how she wants to do it? I like the idea of having the "roots" be her birth parents....I would think with the myriad of ways families are formed, teachers are more "flexible" in this project. DH (who was adopted) said he always hated this project at school (but he didn't really "know" anything anyway -- closed adoption).

We love Miss Spider too.
When we first started watching the show it amazed me how the big spider was so loving too all the little bugs that she would "normally" eat, LOL! Then I realized she was their mom! I admit I didn't watch it very closely at first, LOL!

Ok, I'm an adult and I like Miss Spider. She reminds me of my mom, only my mom... ok not so spidery b/c if she was my dad might squash her.
