It sounds like the emails are kind of trickling out. Some people haven't gotten emails, but the items just mysteriously disappeared off their Target account. Mine disappeared within the last couple hours and so did my sisters.

When I look at my target account it says the order was cancelled

I didn't get in on this but I belong to a local mommy site. LOTS of people ordered this and now they are all getting their cancellation emails.
Why would Target do that? If they were not hacked and this was a true deal, did they not understand the power of the internet and how fast this gets around? I didn't even get one but I think they should honor it or once the limit was reached, tell people it was no longer available. Sucks guys. Sorry.

I think they should at least honor 1 per person...I can see them not honoring 10, but as a good faith gesture, 1 seems reasonable.

Just got my email explaining the mistake and saying they will not honor the price. But they did say I was welcome to visit their online store and pay full price for the carseat when it becomes available

Just got my email too. I was so hopeful. Oh well - I guess it is not worth getting too worked up over. It really was too good to be true.

I think Target underestimated this but they probably have no way to honor this i.e. not enough stock to cover it. Like a PP said, if it sound too good to be true, it usually is.

Either that, or someone forgot to put the "2" in front of the price...
From what everyone says, the seat's about $270 normally...Maybe they were marking it to $245 (or whatever) and forgot to add the "2". I bet someone's in trouble...
