Green bean casserole. I hope I get that this year as I won't be for the first time in almost 16 years.

My aunt makes an amazing shrimp & blue crab macaroni salad! It takes her forever, so she only makes it during the holidays! OMG, I can't wait till Thanksgiving (for the food) could do without some of the people. lol...

Almost forgot, another aunt makes a chocolate layer cake that has 10-12 thin layers (thin as pancakes) with a homemade chocolate syrup like frosting between each layer. Then the top layer so coated with hot fudge type syrup poured on top... 10 lbs jumps on you just by walking by the cake!

Oh, I love all of it! But my favorite is probably the stuffing - I can't get enough!

Oh, and another favorite that's probably (definitely) not a Thankgiving dish in everyone's house but is a mandatory hors d'ouevres before ANY big holiday meal in my family, is my Grandma's chopped liver. (Grandma is 94 years old now.) Trust me, there ain't nothing better. Yup, I can practically see the calories forming before my eyes. . .

This is the Thalheimer's cake, yummy.

Edited to add that I love all Thanksgiving food, but my grandmother's giblet dressing (stuffing) is one of my faves.

4ever, that sounds DELICIOUS!

My favorite dessert on Thanksgiving is homemade coconut cake... YUM! Favorite side dishes, candied yams and dressing (some call it stuffing).
