adoption mediation

I was hoping I could get some ideas/lists of what people are asking for in mediatiin with birth families. we are going to mediation soon and I do not want to give too much but also do not want to be overly strict. Any help you could give example wise would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

I am guessing that you mean what contact we agreed to in our open adoption agreement?

If so......DD's bmom left it up to us. We felt we could comfortably do updates (letter & pictures) every 2 months and 2 visits a year for the first 2 years.

Slugbug,
Thanks for your input. I was speaking about the contract post adoption. The parents are seperated and continue to make poor choices and I do not see them leaving it to me. the state is pushing for mediation to end this sooner and not deal with a trial. I just do not want to give too much and then be stuck if something falls apart and would like to have safety nets in place. so to speak./

A lawyer, who had adopted via foster care, advised my support group not to sign any legal documents when it comes to visitation or pictures or phone calls. She was for verbal agreements.

I know the state pushes mediation in order to save money and not necessarily for the best interest of the child.
