5 day old bump on head looks worse?!?!?!

I'm scared I called doctor but they are closed for an hour for lunch

E had a bruise on his forehead but it wasn't much of a bump....i would have thought a bump would not have come out so many days later. The bruise looks smaller and darker and MUCH more of a bump. Like major bump. Is it possible there is something wrong??

Do you think he hit it again? It looks really weird! Should I go to ER?He's acting normally.

Call back as soon as they open and see what they recommend.
Sometimes a bruise will look worse on the 2nd or 3rd day. The bump though, I'm not sure. I wouldn't think it would actually get larger after 5 days.
Good luck. Keep us posted. Poor E!
I'll keep E in my prayers.

Yep, as long as he is acting normal call them back when they reopen. He shouldn't be getting a bump now unless he hit it again (that happens frequently at my house). Good luck!

It seems as soon as my son gets rid of one black eye, he gets another one. He just bounces off the walls, LOL!

Thinking about it more, it could be a hematoma. My friend's baby had one on his head as a birth injury, scraped her pelvis during birth. He was a big baby, 10 lbs 2 oz at birth. It took several months to go down.

I've been checking in often to see how E is and what the Dr. said.

Hi Sorry. So yep he hit himself again. One of the perils of a baby who doesnt' cry unless it's really serious....something weird happened though yet it went down so quickly. Here is what it looked like (you will also notice the lovely reflection of snot from yet another terrible cold )

Anyway can you imagine not knowing there was a fall and suddenly seeing this? Feeling it was worse!

I know, and I was convinced it was a tumor or something! I was so scared because I thought it just "popped up" seems so silly now!

still don't know how or when he fell but must have been in the crib. He's a wild man. The doc kind of lectured me about watching him all the time because I guess he's seen his kind before!
