We had a bit of a scare. All of a sudden, Cameron got fussy. I checked him and then he desated into the 20's and his heart rate went down to the 70's. Not good at all. Thankfully, his nurse was right outside the door, and very quickly 4 others & RT were in here. They bagged him and eventually he calmed down and his 02 sats went back up. He was REALLY mad and it was pretty frightening. I kept telling him to breathe. He seems okay now. Hopefully that won't happen again. As much as we love the PICU nurses, I don't want Cameron to be sick enough to need their care. His surgeon checked him over and we'll just continue to monitor him closely.

Gosh honey, I'm thinking of you and I've said a few prayers for Cameron...You gave me flash backs to standing outside DH door when he was in CICU and all the nurses rushed in because they thought he was going to code. Holy Cow that stuff is scarey! Sending you a big hug and more prayers for NOT needing those wonderful nurses

I was so happy when Kaiden went from his NG to his Gtube. His face was kind of skinny and then it was like as soon as the tubes were off of his face his cheeks filled in and he looked like a baby should...chubby!!! Haha. He had SGS and still has a gtube and ostomy bag. He would pull his NG out too especially at night...ahh! Is he getting a mickey button? once he gets that it makes it much easier. He can still pull at the regular g-tube so keep it in his pants! haha. Love, hugs, and prayer your way!

You will love that G-tube. It makes such a huge quality of life difference. I hope they switch you to the mickey button. That thing is pure genius!
Hope all is well and your scare was just a result of him being a bit too doped up with pain meds.
