OT- Cool and cute mom clothes

So, I was wearing yoga pants and a cotton tee today and my hubby said I looked like I was wearing jammies. I admit it was not my best outfit. When I got dressed, I had no intentions of leaving the house but we ended up running a couple errands.

So, I need new clothes. I want some comfy stuff that looks cute and is not too pricey. I stink at shopping. Any suggestions? I don't even know what stores to go to. Help me!!

I love old navy. But you have to watch out for their low rise butt cracking showing styles I love my jeans, boot leg cords, and casual kackis (sorry, I can't spell that today). Cute hoodie sweaters and fitted long sleeve t-shirts work nicely too.

No suggestions here, but would love to hear some. My daily outfit (unless we're going to a party) everyday is a ribbed tanktop and jean shorts.

It's hot and humid year round and Devin is a spitter and/or spit-upper.

Old Navy, Maurices, Cato, Target, Kohl's and if you're diligent in looking and piecing together, Walmart and Kmart. You can find good pieces anywhere. It's just knowing what looks good on your own body (read: trying things on).

ALSO: PROPER FITTING UNDERGARMENTS ARE A MUST. If your underwear and bra don't fit properly, your clothes won't look right either.

Mmmshopping.

If I am just at home I wear my husband's old t-shirts and either yoga pants or shorts! Nate spits up and drools too, and after stripping down to nothing in the kitchen, and then carrying a screaming baby upstairs find something clean - I have learned to keep a stash of extra clothes in my laundry room off the kitchen.

I second the vote for Old Navy, and don't forget Target! Their clothing just keeps getting better and better every season! I really can't seem to justify expensive clothes anymore when my mom group play dates are the closest I get to a client meeting!

I'm the worst shopper...The worst.

Sigh - I am about to divulge a most embarassing secret...

I go to Pennys, try on a pair of jeans, if I find one that fits, I buy 3. Then I go to the v neck tshirts (long sleeved in winter, short sleeved in the summer) and buy 5 different colors.

Voila...my wardrobe. Please be gentle.

love: Never be embarassed, you're among friends and everyone does that from time to time. I currently have the same pair of clogs from Kohl's in brown and black, the same pair of jeans from Maurices in two washes, and the same sweater from New York & Co. in two different colors.
If I like it, it fits and it's on sale, I'll probably get two.

Places o shop: New York & Co. is a favorite. It can be pricey but the sales, specials and clearance are fantastic. When we were going to Mexico last month I got three tops and two pairs of shorts for $30.
I also like Maurices, Penneys and Chadwicks (catalog).
I used to be a sort of preppy dresser, then we brought home a baby. For the last 18 months it's been jean and a t-shirt, jeans and a sweatshirt, shorts and a t-shirt, you get the idea.
I'm now trying to get back to pre baby style. It's tough!

I love White House Black Market! They have an online store as well. It's my absolute favorite store! I think it is a little pricey, but I always receive compliments when I wear stuff from there.

I am also a fan of Banana Republic and New York & Company.

My daily wear is jeans and a tshirt or sweater. Year-round. I'm just not cool. I was even like this before I was a mom! I have no sense (nor do I really care much) about it. Occasionally I contemplate what it would take for me to be less frumpy/momish though!

Hey! Anyone watch "What Not to Wear" on TLC?

Maybe we can submit all of our names to the show, and they can round us all up for a 5 day$5,000 shopping spree in New York...Then we can all meet up and of course look ultra fab!
