Question about toddler adoption

Hello all...

This is a question on behalf of my sister. I knew if anyone had the answer to this question it would be ya'll!

My sister and I both adopted our children shortly after they were born. My sister and her husband want to adopt again, but are really intersted in adopting a toddler or older, maybe around the age of 2-4. Does anyone have any ideas of agencies they could work with that possibly specialize in adoption of older children and not just newborns?

If anyone can PM me any info I would appreciate it!

Thanks!!!!

The only thing I can think of is to have her call her state/province child welfare organization. Older child (ie. non-infant) adoptions usually go through them, rather than a private adoption agency. If she doesn't want to do that, international adoption offers the same option, although child welfare adoptions are free (or inexpensive, depending on the area) and international adoptions have a lot of related fees.

I don't know if private organizations do toddler adoptions in the States?

Tentatively chosen as the prospective adoptive placement for S, a 5-year-old boy.
