Today I am happy because...
My little girl just turned one and is the light of my life! My whole family is healthy...such a HUGE blessing I drank a sunkist this morning and I got a nice burst of energy from it!

Love this thread - what a wonderful idea! Today I am happy because I have a wonderful, beautiful DD. Also, my husband has been cancer-free for TEN years. We are planning a HUGE party to celebrate. DH also recently passed a very tough test for work. He worked soooo hard and I'm so proud of him!

9/07 - Matched with birthmom through a mutual friend 11/30/07 - Homestudy complete! 2/27/08 - Match failed - birthmom never signed papers  5/5/08 - signed with new agency 5/12/08 - chosen by birtmom! 6/8/08 - it's a girl! 6/17/08 - Home forever with our little girl! 12/15/08 - FINALIZED!   5/7/09 - Homestudy approved for #2! 1/27/09 - present - several leads, but none have panned out.

Happy Birthday to DD, Blessed! Did you have her party yet?
Congrats, Veggie!! ETA: I thought I would add a "puppy story." It's not a "happy" one, but maybe it will make you laugh. He came in last night at 2 am. DH was up all night with him. This morning, DD came out and it was like seeing Santa Claus! She was thrilled...UNTIL....I was giving her a nutrigrain bar in a paper towel. Puppy runs into her room circles around and starts to take a poop. I (being ever so nimble..haha!) dive and put the paper towel with the nutrigrain bar underneath his butt and save the day (I think) until DD flips a lid that her nutrigrain bar is ruined!!!! Today I am happy because:
-I had the motivation to get on my exercise bike at 6:00 this morning, instead of staying in bed. -My first patient of the day was early. -I am married to the most wonderful man! -I am one day closer to becoming a mom (I try to remember that one everyday of this wait!)

 Hoping to add to our family SOON!June 2006- First meeting with agency. Not married long enough, need to wait 1 year. March 2007- homestudy begins, but then put on hold for 1 year.  June 2008- Back in the saddle again September 2008- Homestudy approved, now just WAITING!!  February 2009- Presented with baby born situation, but declined based upon multiple issues.  September 2009- Expectant couple due in February is choosing between us and another couple.  November 2009- It's a match, and it's a BOY!

I am happy because my fantastic DD has added two new words in the last week. (and has learned to wiggle her eyebrows)
 I am happy because this is the beginning of my very favorite time of year. I am happy because I'll be 30 in three days and don't feel any different than I did at 21.

now here's a happy moment....puppy poo nutrigrain story made me laugh out loud! It's always a great day when I laugh out loud and it's the best day if someone makes me laugh so hard that I pee. (not that I'll ever admit it when, er IF that ever happens....whistle....)

LOVEAJAX...seriously you crack me up!!!! What a funny story! It always gets easier once they are potty trained!
Yes, we had DD's birthday party on Sunday! It was a wonderful day; lots of family around. My parents flew in for the special day! She was completely overwhelmed...so many presents and so many people! She had so much fun though! We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day! Veggiegirl...what great news! That is definitely something to be happy about!!!

I love this thread.
I am happy because I successfully got 3 kids to school on time (with only 1 temper tantrum). DH has a great job that he loves and provides for us so I can stay home with our kids. We are all healthy. My laundry is done and my kitchen is clean.

August 2005 - approved with 1st agency October 2006 - 1st match (she lost the baby at 7 months) November 2006- 2nd match May 2007 - birthmom chose to parent July 2007 - decided to switch agencies Jan. 2008 - approved with agency #2 July 2008 - placed with our forever kids - sib set of 3 November 2008 - suprise phone call and we added their younger brother March 24, 2009 - finalized adoptions for first 3 June 16, 2009 - finalize adoption for #4

I'm happy because... This will be our first holiday season with our DS! We finalize this month! We have great family and friends (even my in-laws are being great! )It's girls night out tonight!

I am happy because:
At this very second my arm is covered in baby drool. My 2 oldest kids woke up happy and ready for school. I was woke up twice last night by our sweet baby. Both times he smiled and giggled when he seen me. DH and I will be married 13yrs in Dec and still act like newlyweds All our pet are doing well. (In the past month I thought we were going to have to put down our two 15yr old cats)

I am Happy because:
I am blessed!
I am deeply and completely in love with my husband of 18 yrs! And the best part, he is just as devoted to me! We are all healthy! I live in paradise where others pay big money to vacation, I live daily... I have a nice home, even if it needs cleaning! My dh and I have a great job that we LOVE! I get to stay home and work in my pjs all day if I want to! I don't have to punch a clock, I can set my own schedule! Our families are less than 20 miles from us (today that's a good thing, next week may be a different story lol) Today I saw a beautiful sunrise as it was mirrored onto the bay! I know whatever this adoption journey throws at us- there are people IRL that are there for us for the ups or the downs... We are loved! These are just a few- I could go on and on.... Oh yea, almost forgot- my old cd- Tapestry revisited- which I dusted off and am listening to now. Sandra

1993 decided to start a family 1995 discovered problems 1995-1998 fertility Drs and surgeries 1999-2003 break from it all 2003-2005 thought about adoption but trying to find a way to afford it. 2006 decided to do whatever it took to create a family. Money should not decide a family! January 2006 gathering information applying for homestudy. July 2006 homestudy completed- we are officially waiting! July 06-March 09 Several situations that didn't work out.. Our baby will find us, until then...We are 4-everwaiting for our angel  It finally happened after over 2.5 years of waiting, our angel found us!!! ... Baby Girl Born March 10th!
