Talking We finally got our court date to finalize
I couldn't believe it when I got the mail.

I was crying when I opened it. LOL.

In a few weeks he will be legally one of us.

When Tpr happened the s/w told us it would be a matter of three months. It has been 7.

I am sooo happy it will be done before Christmas.

The best part no more permission to travel or leave the state. YES!!!!!!!!

Skilack & Supa~ Congrats! So happy for both of you! It is such an emotional moment when you have the documents in hand. Eventhough we finalized in August, we still don't have the new birth certificate- can hardly wait to receive it...

Supa~Congrats on yours. Let me know how it goes. I am so nervous for court.

Tigger~You mean we have to wait months for the birth certificate? I will be driving everyone nuts waiting for the mail everyday. LOL. I hope yours comes soon.

We finalized August 20th and still no bc. We were told it would be a 4 to 6 week wait. DH and I are vigiliant about picking up the mail everyday- I though I was bad, but I think DH is even more impatient than I am on this one- lol

Hopefully you won't have to wait too long after you finalize.

Don't feel bad-our child was born in CA, we are out of state and the processing time for the birth certificate is 10 MONTHS!

I guess we should consider ourselves lucky-we finalized in Feb and just got her certificate last week!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! It is a wonderful, emotional feeling, isn't it!

I adopted DD instate and it took us 13 months to get her birth certificate! Insane!

OH MY GOSH!!!! That's a really long time to wait. I hope we don't wait that long. We are doing a foster to adopt and everything feels like it is taking forever. I'm liable to spaz on someone if we have to wait that long. LOL.

barging. Congrats. We adopted our dd Sept 2, 2008 I thought it was the best day ever. When we got her BC in the mail less then two weeks later it was even more emotional then going to court. Looking at her name and us as her mom and dad. My dd is from MI and we are from WI.

Hope you all get their bc soon.
