OT: Your child's favorite toy?

Since we're always looking for great toy ideas ... I thought it would be a fun thing to share with this community, as we have all sorts of parents here.

Your Child's Age:
Favorite Toy:

J is (almost) 6 months old. His favorite toys are his teething star (https://www.toysrus.com/product/inde...uct_skn=950648) - he doesn't care for teething rings at all, his jumperoo, and his Baby Einstein Kaleidescope toy https://www.toysrus.com/product/inde...uct_skn=478226

K is 22 months old. Her favorite car toy is a purse ( Amazon.com: My First Purse w/ cell phone-keys-mirrorąPreschool: Toys & Games ). Her favorite toy in the house is a Little Tykes house/slide.

Daniel's favorite toy is a wooden walking toy by Plan Toys. It's a little wooden cart that holds blocks. He can walk all over the house pushing the cart and bang the blocks on the coffee table. (Noise! We love noise!) Aside from that - well, he loves pots and pans (more noise!) rattling and tearing newspapers and pulling books off of the bookshelves. And as of last Saturday, he's a crawling boy, so we'll see what he gets into next!

What a great question! I can answer for all my children in one quick reply....Anything that I didn't intend to be a toy!! Shoelaces, shoes that are to large, boxes, ropes made into spiderwebs to climb on strung between trees etc. I have a ton of toys and really the favorites are the ones they have to use their imagination...That reminds me dress up clothes are also a big hit. Something that I found my 2 yr old loves is stacking dominoes and putting them into containers. Sorry I am not much help but this is just my experience.

Her birthday is next month and I really want to buy her something super special and fun. So I'll be keeping an eye on this thread!

TJ (2years) has two favs. One is the Playskool MP3 Player. It has programmed music, but you can download your own CDs and record your voice on it. It's great and thus far, indestructable!!!!! He also loves the wooden pegs that you pound with the hammer, then turn it over and pound them back. Strangly enough, he doesn't hammer anything but the pegs. Knock on wood
