Well, the hair dying thing seemed to work over here - my DH called me a "raven haired beauty". That might be taking it a bit far - but I'll take it!

Ladies - I am alone. Right now. ALONE! Timo is at preschool and my hubby and his friend took Marco to the beach. WOW! I don't know what to do with myself!

I am going to go take a shower, shave multiple areas of my body, and then blow dry. I only have an hour before I have to go pick up Timo at school, but I am still excited!

My vow for today - no refined sugar. I feel so much better about myself when I eat right, and sugar is such a hard think to resist. So, I will go day by day. Today - no sugar. None. Ha. We will see how it works!

What about you all? What are you going to do today to contribute to your beastiness????

I had no initial plans to contribute to my beastiness today, but I think I am going to take my kiddies on a long bike ride when AJ gets out of school...Get that heart rate up!!

I am feeling much better this week than last......

Saturday I took most of the day for myself. DH took DD to his mom's and they made salsa and took care of DD. I on the other hand went to the mall......been a long time since I have been there! I went and got my hair cut & highlighted and my eyebrows fixed. I feel so much better. Then since I had received no calls telling me to get home........I went shopping for me. I bought a cute new pair of jeans and a new pair of boots. I did manage to stay gone for about 5 hours......and DH didn't even mind. I will have to make time for myself more often.

For me, I don't like the "premixed colors" that come in the box, most are either "brassy or blah"... So, to mix them makes a happy medium.

I highlight with a lighter color dye to make a more natural look- using a frosting cap to pull a few thin strands of hair to lighten...

In cc hair most unprocessed/virgin natural hair color have highlights and low lights... Usually around the crown of the head and framing face the hair is lighter and around the nape of the neck (back of ear to back of ear) the hair is darker.

So, this works for me as i am a "do-it-myselfer" kind of person... plus 20+ years cosmetologist.

disclaimer: hehe... This is not recommending for everyone or anyone (this is only what I do). Hairdressers/cosmetogist are trained in hair care, color mixtures and applications, hair cuts, styles and technique etc...

If you have doubt, go to an experienced cosmetologist-dont try this at home...

I don't want anyone having a "bad hair day!"

I wore perfume today... and even though the hair is in a ponytail, I left a bang portion out and then clipped it up and off to the side seperate. It did still only take about 3 minutes though I'm even wearing a new shirt today with a pair of cargo khakis. I askes DH if it looked ok (I never tried this shirt on when I bought it) because I thought maybe it would look better with darker brown pants, and was told I looked "wicked cute"...I'm not sure if cute=beastie, but for a Monday, I'll totally take it.

I didn't do as much as I had hoped today with DD being sick but I am now at work (don't tell anyone) and I did try the new tinted moisturizer. It gives enough color that I don't feel terrible without make up on.

I will attempt more tomorrow. Oh and I did a quick 10 minute work out while DD was sleeping before geting on A.com. That's a start right? I also made a healthy lunch. Turkey sandwich with a side of veges and dip and to satisfy my carb addiction some pretzels. Now if I can just hold to my guns and not sneak in sugar this afternoon it will be a good day.

Ok, so I have lost quite a bit of weight and this older lady at Church yesterday commented on it. She said "you sure have lost alot of weight, you look much better". Now being told I look good would have been great, but better...not so much! That made the sexy beast in me not so happy.

Why oh why can't people just celebrate the good with out having to throw in the negative......sheesh......she could have just said "you look great!" and left it at that.

I know! I looked at my mom and I said "I'm not sure that was a compliment".

Someone once said to me in Yoga, a total stranger, I've seen you here and you look so much better with your hair down.

And then she added "some people just look older with their hair up!"

Thanks!

My best friend was dropping her little guy off at school this morning, when one of the moms asked who "does her hair". My friend said "Oh - my cousin does it".

The other mom said "Oh...well, I do makeovers - if you want me to do one on you, let me know!"

OUCH!
