Two days in a row! I did my hair and make-up again today! I just need an event to motivate me. Yesterday it was Bible Study (2 blissful hours with adults and NO kids!). Today it is playgroup. Hmm, what else can I line up to motivate me???

Deal and we should totally go shopping while we are there. Any good malls? Mani/Pedis? I laugh like a maniac when I get a pedicure and they scrub my feet...I haven't had one in a long time. I need it bad. I used to have cute feet, but this darn auto immune thing effects even those.

Honestly, how can anyone who used to wear 4" heels have cute feet. God did not design you to wear 4" heels. At least he didn't design ME that way

I almost never wear heels. At my wedding below the $1,000 dress, I wore flats...

Dh is only an inch taller than me. I tell him think Tom and Katie, but he doesn't really buy it. I used to wear heels a lot...between DH and swollen ankles, almost never now. I have to say though, it is HARD to find cute shoes in flats...I'm a total shoe person. My imfamous rubber maid collection is about 3 or 4 30 gallon rubbermaids filled with shoes. I have shoes storage in the walk in, but it only hold about 12 pairs, and I let Dh have a couple spots. All those shoes and I wear crocks EVERYDAY...

I finally got a break here at work and had to just chime in. It amazes me how much we all seem to have let it go.

Nikki, I need to join you with the weight loss journey. I had lost about 35 lbs before DD was born. Now I have put almost 18 lbs back on and am so mad at myself.

Stom, maybe you can support us both?

As for the make up stuff, I too need stock up on some stuff. I use Mary Kay for the face cleaning supplies etc and for the basics but need some good foundations and lipstick.

I don't wear wedges but do wear heals to work about 4 days a week. Fridays are casual so today I got a shower but no make up. I am in jeans, tennis shoes, and the largest polo shirt I could find. Ugh. Now if I can get myself to walk during lunch instead of being here on a.com.

I feel (and correct me if I'm wrong) that some self tanner (or tinted moisturizer) and tinted lip gloss is much beastier than foundation, powder and lipstick. At least during the day! Thoughts?

Oak, I just read the other thread where you said you get up super early with your wife to have breakfast.

Getting up that early? And the eclairs? Girl, you are a SUPERWOMAN!

I love my husband to bits, but trust me, no one wants to see me at 3:30 a.m. (talk about a beast!)

Hey all...good club! I did want to let you know I had to edit the title of the thread. We are a family site and while I KNOW this thread is G rated blah blah blah, the thread title will be viewed as non family friendly by many. Plus...I really don't want us googled along with uhm..yanno..."Those" sites. lol!

But hey...I just added an allure of mystery, which all women should have, no?

Self Tanner??? What is that? Okay I think I have heard of it but never used it. Doesn't it turn you orange? Or is that just the old stuff?

My boss will probably kill me for logging onto personal stuff on the 1 day a week that I'm at work...

But I totally agree with the lipgloss thing over lipstick (surprise surprise - lipgloss is my passion).

I used to like lipstick, but lately whenever I use it, especially if I am wearing mascara, I tend to look like I had my face painted.

And I could never get the hang of foundation...It didn't seem to do anything for me, so I also agree with the tinted moisturizer.

I think I'm going to have a "me" day tomorrow and buy some new beauty products!

oh I have the slow tanning lotion stuff and I'm so afraid to try it. Are there any tricks. I've never been tan in my life so I'm afraid I'll look like a weirdo

LOL! I think I get up that early to have breakfast with her because she brings me eclairs! After 13 years, it seems almost normal. And I can't remember the last time I saw 9:00 p.m.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't know what self-tanner is. Also need to find out what wedges are. Until recently, I got by just fine with 3 pairs of shoes. Black flats, brown flats, tennis shoes. Replace when needed.

Is it bad to admit that when I walked past the full length mirror in our hall this morning and looked at DD and myself......and thought her fashions were much more in style and fashionable than mine?? Not to mention that she doesn't need make up to make her presentable or cute!

How depressing! Oh I need help

Like I said on the other thread - whenever I buy clothes, I will buy 1 type of shirt in multiple colors...easy to shop, pathetic in the style department.

I SWEAR I am going to start eating right and exercising...I have two very active little guys that I need to keep up with!

I do that with pants. Lands End. Same style. Different colors. I HATE shopping!

Last year, one of my students said, "Ms. R, You always wear those pants."

"Yes."
"And you always wear those shoes."
"That's true."
"Why"
"So you can recognize me." (Okay, I didn't want to go into the whole, "Ms. R hates to shop" thing.)
"Oh. Right. Because if you took off your shoes, we might not know who you were." She was totally serious! I almost broke a rib trying not to laugh.

Yay me! I just had some stuff to return to the mall (totally cute outfit for my sister's birthday that she hated!) so I loaded my sickie kids into the double stroller and we went. While we were there, I dragged them into Macy's because they were having a nice sale. I got a pair of cute new wedges and a shirt for MYSELF! Since I have lost all the weight, I really do need new clothes. I have been buying stuff at goodwill, because I didn't want to buy all new stuff just to have to replace it when I dropped another size. How is that for self confidence????? I don't know that I will be able (or should!) lose much more, so I feel pretty confident buying stuff in the size (a 2!!) that I now am. I still have to get it on sale, though. It is not a good buy unless you get it cheap!!!

I am also thinking of getting a double jogging stroller for the days when we can't make it to the Y. Any suggestions????

Hey all!

Can I join too? puhlease!

Thanks Storm for the tip on shopping at Sephora online - but you just cost me $50...well, actually you cost DH $50 cause I don't have a job right now!!!!

I also hate shopping, especially shopping for pants! I am 5'2 and so nothing EVER fits me (and I am not size 4) and I always leave feeling like I need to lose 300 lbs.

Jules - I TOTALLY hear about about the nursing and not so sexy thing...I have yet to find a nursing bra that even remotely exudes sexiness...

Ok - and how do you guys feel about this? Want to share some photos - cause I'd love to see what you all look like!
