Mama Mia, here we go again...my, my...

seriously though, DH made me cry today. I did the research to know which ice cream I could have, and he went and told me that soft serve (like dairy queen) wasn't gluten free. I was seriously crying. So I came home and did the research and he totally pulled it over on me. I guess there could be some cross contamination issues, but I'm not worrying about the little stuff yet. This is day two of ONLY taking the 800MG of Advil and 1500 of Tylenol ONCE during the whole day. A typical day for me WAS 2400 MG of Advil and 6000mg of Tylenol with the more than occasional Vicoden thrown in for good measure. That was what I took to get by while I was being treated "successfully" believe it or not! So a huge improvement. I even brought Ty off roading in the stroller for a long walk at a state park and it was rocks and stones and hills, and I feel pretty darn good. SO excited. I think I'm starting to see a little improvement in the psoriasis too Yippee. Course my days will be so boring...what will I do with all my time if I don't have to spend it fighting my insurance to pay for treatments that cost them 10K a month?

As a side note if this does work, I'm so disappointed...really, really sad. I've been in intensive treatment for this for nearly 8 years. Specialist after specialist and none of them thought to mention it. *I* mention it and I get a flip, yeah try it, arthritis and skin sensitivities, and fertility issues, and being overweight...all that together WOULD usually point to either gluten or thyroid. OK, well you tested my thyroid, and particular reason why you never test me for gluten? Never mentioned that? Obviously I'm glad it all happened the way it did, or we might not have Ty...but it still stinks. I can't even explain what I've been through for 8 freaking years, IV's and immune system modification treatments, and injectable that my poor DH had to do that were so painful I couldn't even stop myself from trying to kick him while he gave them to me. It stinks. Just goes to show, you HAVE to be your own advocate.

Thanks Robbin. Not sure about the doll thing now. Only because of the whole Chuckie thing. I'm working through it and when I do I will check out Diego.

In the meantime if you'd like to add anything about musical theater, adult diapers, waxing or gluten-free diets....feel free! We love a new perspective.

Ok - for those of you who saw Wicked ~ have you also read the book, and if so, how close to the book is the play?

Meaning the book took me ages to get into and read, and there's so much going on that I'm betting they can only focus on parts of it in the play.

Also, has anyone seen Sweeny Todd, Jersey Boys or a Bronx Tale on stage?

These are the shows coming up in our area (well, the one's I haven't seen anyway) and we'd like to take my parents for their 35th wedding anniversary...and Avenue Q is out - haha.

Jersey Boys is awesome but they do say the F word once or twice! The CD is great. You'll LOVE it.

Ok Ok so one is old enough to rely on adult diapers and one has the executive experience of a newborn needing diapers.... let's just hope regardless of who "wins" for the economy's sake there's a sams club, bj's or costco around to supply them with their undies

OK, so I LOVE Sweeney Todd - one of my favorite plays ever ever ever. Utterly brilliant.

But. . . it has murder, cannibalism (sp?), blood, deceit, and a VERY dischordant score. So I think it depends on your parents - my mom loves it!

I've been away - can I go back to the shaving thing for a moment? My book club recently read Jenna Jameson's "How to Make Love like a Porn Star" which is possibly the worst written book in the history of all languages ever ever ever. BUT the one bit of potentially useful advice in it is - when you shave your bikini line, shave with neosporin rather then shaving cream to avoid painful ingrown hairs. Haven't tried it yet, but makes sense. . .

Saya, Sweeny Todd sounds right up my mom's alley - this is the woman who makes me tivo Dexter for her each week and then complains if I don't get it to her quick enough...And don't EVEN suggest that she watch it on basic tv where they edit it to bits...

And wow - wait til I tell my hubby that I learned a tip from Jenna Jameson...something tells me this won't be the first thing that comes to his mind...

I'm a theater junkie. I did theater competition in high school, and did some acting, improv and public speaking/debate in college. I love it, but in reality, it's not a profession that I would want to put the work into...There just aren't enough parts for us chunky gals...
