We hope to finalize the adoption of baby "A" in the next 5 months or so. I am trying to figure out what to get him. He will be around 6mo old. Since he will be so young (and not have a clue what is going on) I want to get some kind of keepsake for him.
Our other son was 4yrs when we adopted him. We gave him a silver band with his new initials engraved on it and a nice adoption picture frame.
What would be a good gift for a baby? (I am leaning toward an engraved silver rattle)

I love the silver rattle idea! Also, an id bracelet is always good and can be sized larger as he grows.

What about having his hand or footprint framed? Maybe in an engraved frame? My grandmother got our kids tiny engraved silver boxes for their first lock of hair and first tooth. I just put in my son's first lock of hair today with his first haircut!

As A Shower Gift We Got Sort Of A Shadow Box With Ds's Name And Birthday On It. We Use It To Hold All Of His Adotpion Papers And Keepsakes For The Hospital. You Could Have The Finalization Date Engraved As Well. Congrats!
