Mmmmmooooommmmm
I just have to tell someone this because DH is convinced Ethan is talking already and as much as I would want to believe that I know its just the sounds coming together as he cries.
For the past two nights we have managed to get E into his crib and sleep at least 3-4 hours in a row. When he awakes, he gives a cry and if you arent right over him within seconds he turns his head towards the monitor and cries ---his cry sounds like he is saying Mmmmmoooommmm but I know its just his lips coming together in the mist of his cry. Last night he did this and I went to wake DH (his turn for a feeding) and DH says to me "He isnt calling Ddddaaddd" Needless to say I got up...but not without feeding the baby in the nursery and talking to E the ENTIRE time about daddy being a silly man just so he could hear me through the monitor.

Ooooooh I do NOT miss those days! We are dealing with a kid who actually does say dada constantly. CONSTANTLY
I get a mama here and there but you know I think I"m going to use this whole "he's not calling mama thing!" in the middle of the night! Thanks for that! ![]()

LOL! Very cute story. And yep, I'm using it too! Savannah is saying "daddadadada" ALL the time. And you know, I don't recall hearing Mama at 4am! lol

DD started with the dadadadad thing early too. And she still won't say mom unless she's crazy upset or hurt. I think I've heard it one time at dinner when I wasn't paying attention to her majesty like I should have been.
Other than that it's dad this and dad that. Heck, she's even saying papa now, which is DH's dad. And she calls my brother uh-oh, lol. |

Tell me about it! Every night when DH gets home I call out "Elvis is in the building!"
(But secretly I love it)

I agree with Storm, I don't miss the days of getting up in the middle of the night for feedings.
DD did the dada thing a lot too and over the last two months is just now realizing that mama gets me instead of dada getting us both. Of course she still says no when she means yes too. |
