Can you choose more than one agency?
I hope I'm posting this in the correct forum - I've mostly been lurking. DH and I met with a local agency and we really liked them. We have an appointment with another agency next week. If we like them both can we sign up with both? Is there a law/rule against that?
Thanks! |

I would pose that question to the agencies. We were active with one agency and then went to a meeting to potentially get on the list with the local state agency and when we posed that question they said no, they don't allow it. Their fear is that we get a call from both agencies and get picked by two EMoms and then we have to turn one down.

Our initial agency allows you to use more than one agency, but you have to tell them as soon as you are matched with the other agency. Our initial agency told us thier average wait if you were open to race and gender (which we are) was 1 to 3 months. After 3 months we had only been shown twice but not picked. We signed with a second agency a few weeks ago.
