Fellow Ohio Parents or Buckeye Fans!

Okay, so I have been noticing that there seems to be quite a few people from Ohio on here. I would love to know where in Ohio you are from and how old your children are. It would be great if we could start a playgroup or try and meet up somewhere in a central location.

I will start, hopefully others will join in

We are in Copley, which is a suburb of Akron. Our DS is almost 10 months old. Yes, we are huge Ohio State Fans, Tribe Fans, Browns Fans, and the Cavs!

We are going to be in Southwest Michigan/Indiana in August. We are rented a cottage in Michigan City for 5 days right on the lake. We have never been over that way, but we have heard it is very relaxing. We are looking forward to hitting the outlet mall and going to New Buffalo and we hear there are some good wineries in the area.

Hi We are from Ohio. We live in medina County. My sos actually has a baseball game in Copley on Wednesday.

I have five kids. Cory who is 9 and my bio son from a previous relationship. Treyson who is 2 1/2 that we adopted at birth. He was born in Columbus. CaraBeth who was our surprise baby is a year old. She is DH and my bio daughter. We have two foster daughters ages 12 and 10. We have had them for 18 months. There plan has been reunification, until last week. Now it is TPR. If given the chance we want to adopt them.

We are all HUGE cleveland sport fans and Ohio state. My DH also love North Caralina Tarheel basketball, that is why are daughter's name is Caralina Elizabeth.

I am always up for a weekend playdate. During the week I babaysit and can't really get out. Have you ever gone to Amazone in Medina?

Steph: Michigan City is a great place for a vacation. You can do as much or as little as you want.

Maureen- I just read your post about your daughter's name and had to add DD was almost named Scarlet (scarlet&gray) but her birth mom didn't care for the name so Shiloh it is!

Nikki: Thanks for letting me know about Michigan City. We just want to get away, but with gas prices we did not feel like driving to the Carolinas this year. We go to Lake Erie on most weekends because my inlaws have a place up there, but that is so not a vacation for me I want to get away and just spend time with DH and DS and our dogs are coming with us.

Quies: Where in Copley are you playing. My nephews play baseball for Copley. Actually, my one is in Cooperstown right now for the tournament and the other is coming back with my parents on Weds. because he is playing this week and weekend at the tournament in Copley. Just not sure what day he is playing.

I am surprised that my DH never thought of that for a girls name when we were coming up with names. We actually had Griffin as one of our choices, after Archie the ultimate Heisman winner. We did not go with it, but maybe next time!

I love the outfit! We have quite a bit of OSU clothing here at home also.

I grew up in Pittsburgh, as a Browns fan! I remember as kid my parents being heckled every weekend as we flew our Ohio State and Browns flags proudly on our flag pole. In elementary school I had a shirt that said I root for two teams. The Browns and any team playing the Steelers.
It was always a fun day when I wore that shirt!
