We got a court date
I just had to share the news...we finally got a court date to finalize our adoption!! Yeah
 We will be finalizing on September 22nd & we can't wait!! And to make it even more memorable...I'll finally get to meet a friend (from the message boards) who adopted from the same agency. They are finalizing the same day!!  BTW...Sophia will be 4 months old next week & is teething. Any suggestions that you might have, so I can make her more comfortable..would be great!! Thanks!!

9/07 - Matched with birthmom through a mutual friend 11/30/07 - Homestudy complete! 2/27/08 - Match failed - birthmom never signed papers  5/5/08 - signed with new agency 5/12/08 - chosen by birtmom! 6/8/08 - it's a girl! 6/17/08 - Home forever with our little girl! 12/15/08 - FINALIZED!   5/7/09 - Homestudy approved for #2! 1/27/09 - present - several leads, but none have panned out.

Marci...Yay for both of us!! I'm so excited & can't wait to me you finally. Veggiegirl..would be great if we could all meet at once, if only it worked that way

CONGRATS!!
I can not imagine how wonderful this must feel. Your DD is beautiful too! OH...and can one of you pm me the agency you used? I am curious, and just thinking ahead for the years to come if we ever adopt again

Congrats! That is exciting! And it's the day before C.J.'s first b-day and we still haven't got a court date.
For teething we have been wetting a baby washcloth then sticking it in the freezer for 30 minutes and letting C.J. chew on it. Works better than anything else we've tried.

Congratulations!!!! So exciting!
For the teething issue, I will give you my mom's suggestion for what she did for me....rub her fingers in whiskey and spread it around (hahah!! I am kidding...yes, my mom did that for me, but I'm pretty sure that's "bad" advice now!).
