Has anyone here adopted a toddler? How about when you already have one toddler at home?

Can you tell me anything about what to expect?

I have a 3yo boy and I heard of a situation for a 3yo girl that I am somewhat considering. Am I crazy?

I have an 18 month old and recently considered adopting a 18 month old and her 4 year old sister. In the end, things didn't work out but the one conclusion I came to is that I would want to go through some classes and consuling for both my family and the children.

I am not exactly sure what kind of information you are looking for. My daughter (one and only so far) was 21 months when she arrived home with me. It was an international adoption. If you have questions, feel free to ask. For me personally I would say I have no interest in adopting an infant and if I adopt again I will adopt a toddler or older.

We are considering the same thing and to be honest, unless we are specifically asked to adopt an infant, we want a toddler. We are waiting to start again till my DD is 4 and my step son goes off to college. At that time we will adopt a child that is my DD age or younger. We don't need the infant age again, been there done that and there are so many older children in need of the forever homes that we feel that is our next calling.

We're waiting to finalize on our sibs, ages 6,5,4 and almost 3. We'd like to adopt another sib group, preferably toddlers with the oldest no older than our 5 YO. Our home can be a crazy zoo, with everyone running around and playing. But they love each other and love playing together, so for us it has been a good experience!
