If you have cable or dish network, check to see if you have access to the show, Its Me or the Dog! Its a British trainer in England who uses positive reinforcement to help owners correct their behavior to correct their dogs problem behaviors.

We have a rescued Poodle mix who has some fear issues and we have done a lot of training with him both with a private trainer and with group classes. I love to watch the show as reminders of what I learned in the past and to keep me working with my dog on his issues.

I believe you will know once your baby comes home how the dogs will react. I had a black lab and a chocolate. The chocolate could care less about the baby..who is now 4 years old...and still could care less..but the black lab never paid any attention to the baby. Would go out of her way to not be next to the baby, and once the baby started crawling the dog stayed away. Well once the baby started walking the black lab bit her in the face. The dog never showed aggression toward anyone, and not even to the baby. Until that day she bit her in the face, causing her to have 3 scars..luckily very small ones. We had the dog put down immediately.
I think no matter what you do to train the dogs prior to the baby you just wont know until the baby is home. We never imagined "our baby"..the dog would've done such a thing but she did, and it was a sad day for everyone.
Just my thoughts.

Thanks everyone

I appreciate everyone trying to help and all of your opinions and advice. I've been researching online for the past couple of days and going back and forth and back and forth on methods and ideas and feelings. It freaks me out. My DH thinks I am blowing this out of proportion, but I am so scared I will have to put Cadella down or get rid of her, she's been my baby for the past 4 years. I know things change when you have a baby, but it's still hard to think about. She isn't crippling fearful, and she doesn't snap at people...she's growled at some strangers on walks, but she gets redirected and she doesn't try to attack or anything. When people come over, the little one gets the big one going and that's when she starts barking ferociously because the little one is snarling and barking. When it's just her, she just belly growls a little and goes and lays down in her own spot until she's ready. I cancelled the PetSmart training. A friend I was talking to yesterday told me about a behaviorist here in town that works for a vet that she uses and I asked why they don't advertise and she said it was pretty exclusive. So, I called and am waiting for the lady to call back. And they use positive reinforcement from what the website says. Hopefully she will help us. If not, I will have to drive to Phoenix or San Diego which is 3 hours away. For us, it's hard to socialize the dogs at our house...LoL, we don't have very many friends and hardly anyone but my family comes over, which they love. Also, the friends we do have don't respect the rules or directions we give, such as just ignore them, don't freak out, they'll come to you, don't call them, don't pet them unless they come to you, don't grab their face, etc...they freak out or just do everything against what we need. So, it kind of sucks. We bought a baby doll that cries and laughs yesterday and some powder, lotion, wipes, etc and put it on the baby doll and acted as thought that were the baby being brought home to see their reaction. They were both curious and smelled the doll and followed us around and were gentle. I even pulled out the big tank of a stroller and they didn't freak out. So, I am hoping with getting them used to that, a real baby isn't so scary. I am a freaking out kind of person, so this is freaking me out So thanks everyone.
