Check to see if it is legal in your state to just hire an attorney who handles adoptions. Our birthmother found us through a mutual friend and we contacted an attorney, that a friend had used to finalize her adoption, and all we paid were attorney fees, court cost and homestudy. Our complete adoption start to finish was just under $6000. We got all our money back the same year Castle was born since we finalized in Dec of the year she was born!!!

That is insane! Our agency lowered the price by more than half if we had an "identified" adoption, which we did have but the birthmom changed her mind. I don't really understand how they can charge more for one race and not another, that's very odd. In fact, I would think it would be unethical! Our agency charges the same price, no matter what race, biracial, caucasian, hispanic, african american, I just think paying different prices for different races is questionable.
