Rough morning. I got a call at 3 am from Cameron's nurse saying that he was breathing really hard and his sats were dropping, so they were going to try some high flow 02. He ended up being reintubated later, around 0530. His right lung looks really bad, and he was just struggling and so uncomfortable. Now that he's back on the vent, he's more comfortable. This also means that he's back on his sedation
. We had just gotten him to a point where he was pretty comfortable. But what do you do? For all you medical people, they had drawn a blood gas and his lactate DOUBLED within a very short time frame. This means, his heart was working very, very hard. He needed to breathe comfortably and his heart can't be working that hard, so he needed to be back on the vent. Also, since Saturday night, he has been spitting up intermittently. He has a paralyzed left vocal cord and can't protect his airway. Earlier that day, he had gotten a new NJ-tube as his had clogged. It looks like it had moved and wasn't in the right place, even though it was done under fluoroscopy had checked it with an xray. That's gone and his feeds are shut off. Because of all of this and that fact that he's still in the PICU almost a month post-op, his surgeon has scheduled him to go back to the cath lab tomorrow around noon. It'll be another long one, but I don't think his surgical team has to standby this time. We already met with the anesthesiologist who will be with him. (She actually was in his first surgery when he was 10 hours old and told me today, "good lord I was terrified". Left me a little speechless, but his heart did stop on the operating table that night). They are looking at 3 main things: -aspiration -his pulmonary arteries (already 25% closed since his last surgery) *This is operable* -his pulmonary veins, *NOT operable* I am PLEADING with God that if they find something, that it's operable. I don't want to hear the word transplant tomorrow. If you pray, please pray for Cameron and for the dr's findings tomorrow. He needs this to be something easily repairable. I want him to have a break! Please pray for another miracle. If you don't pray, send some good thoughts our way. Know how much your comments and thoughts encourage us. Please remember my little guy. Here are some pics, from a few days old to just a few months old. ![]() Attachment 75123 Attachment 75124Attachment 75125 Attachment 75126Attachment 75127

Leah,
God hasn't let you down yet so keep that in your minds. This little guy has a purpose in life and one day you will find that out. We will send as many prayers as we can your way and for the doctors also. Remember to take a breath now and again and take care of yourself so you can take care of Cameron when he needs you most. And thanks for sharing the precious photos of Cameron.

Oh Sweetie,
I am so sorry that your darling boy has had to endure even more than he already has. Please know that my family and I have been included Cameron in our daily prayers and devotion and will continue to do so. I wish I lived closer so I could at least come and help you even if it just meant to sit with you. You little guy is surely a fighter and I honestly believe that he will overcome this. Babies are much more resliliant that we think. even still, it so heartbreaking so see them suffer in any way shape or form. While he is intubated his lungs will get a rest and he will be alot more comfortable. Cameron is in God's hands and God has a special miracle for him. He deserves to be healthy and he will be. I echo what other's have said, please take care of yourself as hard as it may be. You need to keep strong so Cameron can draw from your strength. God Bless, EZ |

My prayers are with your lil man today and tomorrow... May the Lord strengthen you and your family and may a miracle of His healing power come...
As an eagle stirs up her nest and spreads her wings over her young to bear them up, may the healing wings of Lord also spread over Cameron this day to raise him up and a praise report come! I am believing with you all for a miracle.... The Lord will take care to carry you through...
