application help...

Hi all

I am filling out our application and I have a question...

I think this question is asking us what type of adoption we want, or maybe not...I was hoping someone would know...

Intermediate, Identified or Parental placement

I have to pick one, but I am not so sure what it is asking...

Any help would be wonderful! Thank...

I'm not sure either. Perhaps call the place you're filling out the application for...?

My guesses would be parental = step-parent?, identified = you've matched with an expectant mom and are using the agency for go-between/legal things, intermediate = they are working on matching you with an expectant mom and such.

I think the best bet really is to call the agency/lawyer.

If you are hoping to adopt an infant through domestic infant adoption - that is considered 'parental placement'.

Identified mean's you've already matched and you're looking for services for your adoption outside of matching.

Intermediate would be something like, you plan to match on your own (like using your own networking services) and they will only provide the other services (much like identified, but not yet matched).

At least, that is how I understand it.
