Not sure is anyone has seen it yet, but there is a new McDonald's commercial where one
product says to another "maybe you're adopted" which is met by silence. I am not a fan. I
think it gives a negative connotation on adoption. I saw it multiple times in just the last
half hour. I wrote an email, and plan on writing McDonald's and let them know my
feelings. I hope others do the same.

I just saw (actually heard because I wasn't looking at the tv) this last night and was stunned. I agree it is awful and should be taken off the air. I"m glad you reminded me. I will write to them.

I'm not big on boycotting companies (if I boycotted every company whose practices I disliked I'd have to produce every foodstuff, article of clothing, etc. I use myself, LOL) but...yeah. That's crappy.

I sent an e-mail. Made sure to tell them I'm more than happy to spend my money at Wendy's instead, because I'd much rather support a business that supports adoption than one that denigrates it in its advertising.

I think not only should we write letters but send pictures to McDonalds of our beautiful adopted children to show them how insensitive the commercial is. I think that will get the point across and hopefully touch their hearts as well.

I agree that the ad was very poor taste for McD's... but sadly, its a fairly accurate social stigma... sometimes, when I tell people I was adopted they react as if I had just told them I had cancer.

After watching your new commercial (YouTube - McDonalds -- Food Talk, I was greatly disappointed. As an adoptive parent I strive to present adoption in a positive light to my son. So I would much rather take him to another restaurant (for example Wendy's) and support a business that supports adoption than one that denigrates it in its advertising.
I hope that you will reconsider and take this commercial off the air.
