awaitingagirl,

It is all so confusing. I really feel/felt that we were supposed to adopt a sibling group of 3 from foster care. This wasn't what I wanted but what I felt we were supposed to do.

But, now that we have been at this for 2 years, I'm starting to wonder. Our family is running so smoothly right now. I am so busy with our four young kids. We also homeschool, and I can't imagine homeschooling seven young kids.

Since we are already approved and ready to adopt, I'm just sort of waiting to see what happens. I'm not searching much but if DSS calls and it feels right, I'm willing. I still have faith that if it is meant to be, it will be great (in the long run).

Good luck making your decision.

Spring's not yet here....but *SHE* is!!!!!! Yep, finally happened! We're leaving tomorrow to pick her up.........she was born earlier this month.

Just wanted to let you know.

Am I nervous? Yep, sure am.....as I ALWAYS get this way RIGHT before we actually get our baby!!!! Spending tonight packing up the kids (and the dh who might as well BE a kid, KWIM?)......and we'll be on our way.
At this location, we'll be able to stay with friends and visit friends/family too!!

Sincerely,

Linny

I am new to the idea of a discussion forum, but am feeling totally stressed about the adoption of our 2nd child. It is completely different, I am with a different agency and am now waiting 18 months (took 7 months for the 1st). I am starting to fret...any advice?

What type of baby are you looking for? Does this agency place many babies throughout the year, and, are you very 'open' in terms of race, special needs, etc?
(This is NOT to say you should be; just asking, okay?)

Are you networking with more than one adoption entity? Please feel free to pm me if you'd rather not answer here. I'm going to be in and out; but will be happy to share any tips that might help. And, I'm sure others here will be happy to share tips and suggestions too.

Sincerely,

Linny
