Mandirenee, hope things go well for you this week.

My sister is heading to Mississippi to volunteer after the hurricane. Last time she went, our agency called us about our daughter. When I gave birth to my middle daughter, my sister was in Mexico on vacation. When I gave birth to my son, she was at a conference and didn't have a car to come home. I'm hoping that as soon as she gets on a plane, my phone will ring. We've been waiting more than 4 months already!

We ARE MATCHED!!!!!!!! We got the call about a situation that we were interested in back in June and the birthmom had picked our profile and another profile and she was trying to choose, she chose the other family. Well the other family had a placement with another child and so we got the call were we still interested in the situation and we said yes!

The baby is due early October! How much info can we or should we post on here about the info???

Our profile is going to be shown to a couple in the next few days. She is currently in the hospital because she is in premature labor.

Hi, ok I'll share the details It is a little girl-she is Bi-racial and due October 6th. We would really like to meet the emom but right now I don't think she wants that. We are really excited I think more so now. It seems like it is starting to sink in some now-today I was sort of numb to it. I have lots to do that is for sure. The room that will be hers is already painted lavender but it is not set up and such and there are things we need to get. We are just hoping that it all works out, she has placed before so we'll see......

For those of you with kids that have been through this again when did you tell your other children? Sami is 5 but we are not sure when to tell her, suggestions??

I am so glad, I am not alone on feeling this way. We just started the homestudy for #2 yesterday. I am so excited but scared to. It really is different this time around vs. the first one. I just love being a mom and 2 is perfect for me.

Wish I could help you, but we didn't get anything ready and we had NO notice, LOL. We did talk about getting ready for a baby brother or sister (mostly sister), but we didn't give a time frame. I'm not sure if you could get away with that with a 5 yo. I would recommend telling her something ASAP. She will pick up on you guys talking about it.
