Baby Katelyn is adorable - and her birthfamily is amazing - absolutely amazing. We get discharge details today about coming home tomorrow - and hopefully papers will be signed on Friday....

Yesterday baby Katie ate and pooped like a trooper -and I am sooo grateful for the time I am getting to spend with them all. SO TOTALLY DIFFERENT from the first time around - more on that later.

Headed there alone today - leaving DH home to deal with the bean - who is totally off schedule and routine - and clean the house. Today she went to daycare - kicking and screaming...

Hi all!!! Can I join in; we are waiting for baby #4. My two oldest were adopted through domestic adoption, our third who we will be finalizing in the spring is being adopted through fc. Very similiar though; we brought him home when he was about 24 hrs old. We are wanting a boy and prefer a child no older than 1. I am nervous b/c I wonder if we are pushing our luck with doing this again???? We have been SO blessed and had no problems with adopting our kids; I hope it is the same this time around!

Congrats to meg. That is exciting. That would be two baby girls within the last week! Our dd#1 is Caitlyn also, but spelled differently, she will be three next month. It is exciting that some of you are hearing about potential situations. I hope you all have short, easy waits. Dd #2 is an absolute angel. Time has gone by so quickly she was a week old yesterday. I posted some pics on my other thread, but thought I would add some here too! Good luck everyone.

chris - crazy few days you are having. i am glad you got a call right back cause that part is soooooo nerve wracking.

i cant believe it happens so fast for some of you. you finish your papers, show your profile and BOOM you have a baby. am i the only one with this huge long match? ugh. my baby is sick and i am going crazy. i needed a little break last night so i handed him off to dh and went to the computer. didnt have anything to do so i found myself on ebay buying baby girl clothes. my SON certainly isnt going to wear them and i dont even know what this baby is. wishfull thinking on my part. everyone think pink for me cause more then likely this is our last baby and i so want to end with a girl.

mom2many- I have a whole plastic tub full of girl clothes too And so far, both situations we have been presented with were boys I'm sending girl dust your way!

Today was better. I was CRAZY busy at work. Someone way overbooked my schedule My sitter was sweet enough to bring the boys up to my work for lunch and some playtime to celebrate Troy's birthday. Unfortunately, I didn't get a break and I missed our lunch date Then I came home to a sick little boy. I have no idea what is wrong with him, but considering he was in the hospital with pneumonia last week, we will be heading to the doctor tomorrow The good news is that it has taken my mind off the possible adoption situatation that is looming in the near future. Tomorrow I have the day off, so I'm hoping it flies by!

Oh, I did not pass because I know someone else being shown. I passed because I feel that child is not right for our family. I have felt A LOT of guilt for turning down being shown. But it boils down to this: that little boy deserves a family that is 100% excited and has no reservations. That is not us...
