Its a girl!!! And although we are cautiously optimistic - I can already feel myself being snookered!! We are in the same state, so we were there from the moment she was about 5 minutes old, until we left 5 hours later... What a day!! Fingers crossed that all goes well for us, and that her birthfamily is at peace with their decision...

Oh, and if it all works out, she will be Katelyn, not any of the names I was asking about!!

on the news of our emom. she is still sick and on bedrest. she also has a chronic condition that requires a neurologist to follow her. she is sick with that problem too. very sick. she has an mri scheduled for friday. i didnt even know you could have an mri when you were pg. thank goodness for google. it kinda put my mind at ease, but not really. hopefully everything will be fine. pins and needles.

We had a little excitement here yesterday. I am trying ("trying") not to obsess about my phone and email, so I left my phone in my locker at the YMCA while I was working out. When I got back I resisted the urge to dig through my bag and check for messages until after I showered and dressed. I FINALLY allow myself to check the phone and I have a text from dh saying "disregard the message from X, I already talked with her." So I am thinking who's X? Check my voicemail and the message says, "Hi this is X from XYZ agency, please call me as soon as you get this." Now I am officially freaking out. What could she be calling about? I call dh (he's in class all day, but thank GOD he answers). He's like.. "oh how are you, how's your day going?" I'm like "X called? TELL ME why X called!" Dh "Well, she is going to meet with a pbmom of a baby already born and she wanted to know if she could show our books, she had some specific questions, blah, blah, blah..... I told her that was fine." Now I realized that we haven't even been chosen but, I'm really freaking. This could happen TODAY! Dh is so calm, what's with this no big deal attitude??? So, a half hour goes by and dh send me another text. "X called, pbmom cancelled meeting and decided to parent." OK, I OK now. I'm really glad she called back right away, because in another few hours I may have made myself insane! I really don't understand why I get so worked up over this. I was a total wreck!

Note to self: Must learn to cope better.... SOON!

Well we found a lady to do our homestudy & I think we are going to go ahead and send in our application to our agency, then get started on the writing part of the homestudy, then hopefully we will have moved by then so we can do the home visit, if not we will do it anyways then just update it. I'm excited though!!! While we are waiting on the homestudy i'm also going to start on our books...

Chrisandaaron & Marci - what do your books look like? How many pages? What were the pages? I LOVED our first book but it was only one page front and back...too bad you cant' just add on...hmmm...I wonder if we could...LMAO just kidding, that is for C's scrapbook.

Are you working with 'our' agency???? I have my book scanned into the computer. If you PM your e-mail address, I will e-mail at least some of the pages. It was 18 total. Gosh, if you are working with them, I really need to quit telling people about the agency... (Kidding!!!!!)

She is I'd love to see your book, too I'm not organized enough to have mine scanned in to my computer, but maybe I will try it. If not, I can send you a copy if you would like. It was hard to know what to do the first time. Our book was 12 pages total.

Marci- I'm not too worried about ALL the people you told about our secret agency, LOL. I think we will both be bringing home our babies really soon

I just got my first call!!!!! It is the same situation Chris got called about. We decided not to be shown. Hopefully this means Chris will be sharing happy news later!

I'd love to join the group! Ben just turned two & we're up and going... We finished the homestudy recently and have a class at the end of the month. So, unless they get a pbm that they feel needs more adoptive couples to look at, our profile won't be shown until the end of the month, but that's coming quickly. Glad to join you all.
