Well I guess now's a better time than any to start my to-do list.

Things that should be keep me busy

Finishing the mural on Carson's wall for his "big boy" room.
Scrapbook (I'm just finishing his 1 year b-day party from Aug 07)
Photo Albumns (I haven't added since April last year)
I need to work in my flower bed this year - they were neglected big time last year with a little guy. This year he'll be able to enjoy playing in the back yard, while I work.
We went to the zoo on Friday - that was fun!
I need to clean our office/filing cabinet
Oh - and I should be dieting and excersing.

On top of all this, I work full-time.

Wow - I need to get busy.

Well, I am finally going to officially join this thread. I had been holding off until we sent in our paperwork. It is done, and now we have to wait for our references to return to the agency, go in for separate interviews, then they come out to the house, write the homestudy, and we need to put together a profile. I am hoping we will be "waiting" by the end of May.

Sorry, I've been a little AWOL myself. I returned home yesterday only to end up with a sick kid!

No sleep for me... I hope tonight goes better!

Welcome everyone to the wait (sorry, I'm just to lazy to list names tonight). You know who you are and that I'm thinking of each of you

You ladies are very ambitious during your wait. I did manage to clean my house (some) tonight. I must tell you all that last time I forced myself to catch up PJs baby scrapbook he was about 3 months old. Shortly after that we got "THE Call" and brought home Troy. The book stayed as is until both boys were about a year old!

I have since finished both baby books

I have scrapbook day scheduled in 2 weeks. Maybe if I get this past years caught up... we will get "The call" again!

Mom 2 Many- I don't know how you travel with all your kids (or even 1/2 of them).

I was EXHAUSTED after taking my boys on a 3 day trip 2 1/2 hours away to visit my parents! I wish I had your energy!

I'll be expecting some good news from everyone this week!

last nite was scrap nite. i made 40 pages. stayed up until 1 am. i am feeling the pain now. but it was fun.

Wow things have been busy in here.

We are waiting on the homestudy to be completed, our family has been so sick this winter it's been tough to schedule the visit. But, now we are healthy, so it should be soon.

Has anyone else found that they are not as preoccupied by the process as much this time? With #1 it was all I could do or think about. But, this time I'm able to concentrate on other things. I guess I've just realized that waiting is part of the process and any amount of obssessing about it isn't going to speed things up. Also, a 1 year old tugging at my leg is a good distraction.

OK just freaked out for a minute.

I am convinced we will be getting another call soon.

Usually happens every 2-3 weeks. Weird I know, but this is how it worked out for us during our last wait too.

Anyhow, my phone is usually attatched to my hip 24/7. Well, I just realized I left it on my night stand for the last 2 hours NO VIBRATE!

2 missed calls, one from DH and one from an unknown out of the area phone # FREAKING NOW! Our agency would have called DH next, but he is in class and may not answer his phone (unless he knows it is them). I wanted to call him, but didn't want to disturb him in class. So finally I get up the guts and call the number back...... No agency, just a voicemail system our dr. uses for test results

.

So that is my excitement for the night. Back to waiting...
