Okay, I'm seriously worried that this situation might not workout. We met the emom and loved her and the agency and I haven't heard from her since. It's been over two weeks since we met her.

Maybe she changed her mind. Maybe she is struggling with her decision. Maybe she didn't like us. Maybe something else is wrong. Whatever is going on, I'd like to know so I can stop wondering.

Did anyone else have a situation in which you met the mother and everything seemed fine and then communication just stopped.

Joanne, I hate to even post this but we had a situation of a 2 year old little boy that we were getting things ready to make travel plans within a few days and the birthmom was meeting with her Mother on a Thursday evening and after that meeting the agency did not hear from her, no contact or anything so they assumed her Mother talked her out of it. Then about 3 or so months later she showed back up and ask if we were still interested in him and we had to turn it down-to risky for us.

I'm sorry, I know it's hard and I hope it works out.

Hi. Remember me?? I was sort of a semi-regular poster on this thread a while ago, but it got REALLY difficult to read with months and months of no word on prospective matches from our agency, so I quit reading here.

We are still with our agency, but a few weeks ago I signed with a referral service also. We are currently being shown to two situations from the referral service, one due any day a very long road trip away, and one due late next month about an hour away. I've been disappointed before and have been waiting around since last summer, but I'm very hopeful one of these situations the mom will choose us if she decides not to parent!

Beth, sure! We are loving the back yard, it's all fenced in now, so it's super cool. And yes, I really want one of these to work out, but more importantly, I want the moms to make the right decisions.

I just got an exciting email that our sons birthparents want to see him. This will be the first time they've seen him since we left the hospital with him.

Our adoption is open, however up until now they haven't wanted to see him. So, this is a big step and I am very excited for them and my son.
