Erin......just coming in here for a bit. I think this is SO sad and seemingly unfair. I know it's the emom's choice, but seems you were 'there' for awhile and then---??? Gosh, this is SUCH an unfair process in so many ways.
 Things are going well here. Having to stay in here for a bit, but that's okay. We have friends/family here so it's a nice time too.  Sincerely, Linny

We started getting some calls from our adoption ad!! They started on day 8. The first was a hang up. Then when I got home that night we had an email from the craigslist ad. The as I was writing the woman back, got another call and this was about a baby that was born 2wks ago in Illinois. The next night we got a call at midnight that was just crazy! Someone saying nasty things, UGH! Well over the weekend we stayed in contact with the people from IL and found out the baby was taken to the hospital for detox. The craigslist ad lead wants to meet. I don't think its very promising, the woman is 5 months pregnant and looking into the possibilty of adoption and is in a difficult situation that she won't elaborate on so I don't know. We'll see, but I am excited that the ads are being looked at!
Any updates on anyones else's journey to #2?

Thats great Sams, it must feel good to be recieving contacts.
I am a little bummed myself today. The emom we found about a couple weeks ago is due today and we haven't heard anything so I guess she didn't like our profile. The silver lining is that the emom that decided to get married and not place is referring us to some friends she made at an agency. Her friends, she said, are planning on placing. She said she was really impressed with us and would love to refer us to these girls she met. But....who knows. Whether she tells them about us or not, I am glad that she was impressed with us. That is the postive feedback that I need right now.

Thanks mom2max, it is! Its so funny as I was reading your post I got another call on the baby number!!! Wrong number, oh well.
Well i have to say I have heard of that with other situations where PAP's have not heard anything until the Emom is in the hospital and calls and says are you coming?? I don't want to get your hopes up but.... you never know. I know someone who got one phone call from an emom and then months later got a call in the middle of the night saying please come a get the baby! its crazy but it can happen. But the other info is also promising too. I Really hope it works out for you and you hear something soon! I keep telling myself I have to be patient and take deep breaths. Btw your children are beautiful! good luck and let us know what happens.

Laura, have you heard anything from the emom that was due this past week? Or have your referrals worked out for you?
Sams mom- It sounds like your ad is getting a lot of traffic. Good luck!!! Our profile was supposed to be viewed last week. But, we never heard anything from our agency. It would be nice to at least be told if she even came in to look or if she still has the profile or if she changed her mind. But, they haven't told us anything. We have decided to sign with a second agency. We will be submitting our forms to them this week. I hope that having two agencies will increase the odds of getting "the call."

Soooo none of the calls that we received from our adoption ad have been promising, but..... we got a call from a friend yesterday and he has a friend that is looking to place their baby for adoption!!!! OMG!! I really pray it works out. My husband talked to the father of the baby for awhile and he seemed interested. The emom is 5 months along and has a dr. appt tomorrow for sonogram. They are around the same age as we are and both have children and were not planning on starting again. Now we just have to wait. Apparently the mom of the edad is on board with adoption as well.
Please keep your fingers crossed. Please say a prayer for the eparents, I think they may need some extra prayers right now!

I wanted four until Layla came home and now I think three is a perfectly fine number. I totally agree with you they are all beautiful....And I had no idea taking all three to take pictures would be such a nightmare...
