More than one agency?

Is anyone working with more than one agency? Last time, we were with one agency for three months, then we sigend up with a referral service. We found Cameorn that way about a month later. This time, I promised myself I would be more patient and we would just wait as long as we waited. But, patience is a virtue. And I don't have it. I am so tempted to look for a second agency to sign up with. But, I had trouble finding any agencies I felt comfortable with. I am not sure if I could even find a second agency.

I know, it has not even been a month yet. I am making too big a deal about it. After our last adoption, we decided we would never again work with only one agency. Yet this time we decided to work with just one...

Personal ad for your baby...

If you could request anything when thinking of your new child what would you ask for? Feel free to be silly

Mine would go something like this...

Fun loving family seeks a baby sister to join in the fun. Must like to ride in the car and eat pizza Sleeping through the night would be a bonus.

I would be up for a chat. I could also do 8 or 9pm. During our 1st adoption we didn't have a long wait (2 weeks till match, ds born 3 months later), so this time I could use as much support as availalb.e

Marci - glad to hear your husband is ok after the accident.

chris - mine would say similar to yours - looking for a baby sister to be the cherry on top of our icecream sunday. must be a happy baby or do not reply. BTW - the clothes i bought on ebay came and were absolutely adorable.

good news - ultrasound is scheduled for the beginning of march. i told emom i would like to come. she hesitantly said she would like that. since she hesitated i think i wont go and just let her tell me the sex of the baby herself. she said she would get a video tape and send it to me. so, hopefully, in 2 weeks we will know if we are having a boy or girl. come on everyone - think pink.

spent last week on a vacation with my 6 oldest kids. the weather was fantastic. my children loved it. we hiked the mayan ruins and boogie boarded in the ocean. someone asked me what the best thing i did was and i said - take a nap! i also read the 3rd twilight book - eclipse. fantastic! anyone else read it? cant wait for the next book.

on the stroller conversation - i really like my craco duo. it is a little smaller and not too heavy. i have been through alot of double strollers in the last 21 years of parenting. when i go somewhere with my dh - or an older child - we take 2 mclaren umbrella strollers. they are super sturdy and have a basket underneath. they also have longer handles then the cheepo umbrella strollers so i feel like it has been money well spent. our have been all over the world and are still holding up like new. i am probably going to buy another one for the new baby - hopefully in pink.

marci - glad your dh is ok. accidents are very scary!

Marci, I am the same way. I have been checking on other agencies.referral services as well. I keep thinking we will wait but I don't know if I can. I am doing better with it this week but its seems hard. We've only been waiting about 3 weeks-heehee.

Anyone ever have one of those days where you think you are nuts for doing it again? I am having one today. Cameron woke up at 5:30 this morning and has been having temper tantrums all day. The kids I watch: the baby is teething and grouchy, the older one is going through a very whiny phase. Plus we are having issues with Cameron's therapy.

I have been tempted all day to call the agency and ask her to hold our books for a while. But I know this is just one bad day. Dh is working today. When he gets home tonight I will feel better. It is just one bad day, right? Tomorrow will be better. (We have a playdate tomorrow morning, so that will be great!!!!!) And then we are supposed to go out of town this weekend (if the weather cooperates...) I am going dress shopping with a friend for bridesmaid dresses. Grandma is watching Cameron!

Agency

My agency networks through quite a few agencies in the south for matches, which I really like.

Hope everyone is doing well! I lurk a lot on this thread, but don't post often, since we aren't officially starting #2 for a few months. Hoping to read about lots of matches very soon!

Yeah! Mine was Monday. The last two days have been much better (I've been at work, lol). Hope your day gets better soon or that you get a call that takes your mind of it

Welcome Melissa!

I want to chat to. I should be available 8:30 or 9pm Thursday. The whole time zone thing confuses me, but I think I am EST too? Monday nights chat was really fun
