Here is a recent conversation I had with my 2.5 year old daughter:.

"Sarah,whose tummy did you live in?"

(Sarah) "Dee!"

...and who else has beautiful blue eyes like you?

(Sarah) "Dee!"

"Can you tell me where were you were born?"

(Sarah) "California!" "Mommy & daddy went ZOOM ZOOM ZOOM in the sky!" (makes motion of an airplane in the sky)...(giggling) "We family!"

Here is another conversation I had with my son's 8 year old friend "G" (also adopted)

"Mrs S, did you know I have a sister!" (no, I didn't) "Her name is "C" and she is 16 years old." "She lives with my birthmom "M." "Maybe one day I will meet her."

(me) "That's great!" "Would you also like to meet your bmom?"

(G) "Hmmm, no, not really..."

(me) "Why is that?"

(G) "Cuz I rather be with my real parents!" (aparents).

I love the "we family" line it is too cute. My little girl loves to count all of the family members she has the bigger the number gets the more fun it is.
