Yuna's birthmom placed two kids for adoption before Yuna. I'd really like to see if those families would consent to being in touch with us, as Yuna's birthparents do not want contact with us. They have several other children, and since Yuna can't have contact with the siblings her birthparents are raising, I'd like her to have contact with the ones that were adopted. I have a partial birthdate for one of the kids, no information at all on the other. I've contacted our agency but the caseworker who handled Yuna's adoption has ALREADY moved on to another job, so I can't contact her.

Anyone have any luck finding bio sibs that were adopted by other families? I assume there are some of you out there with similar situations.

There should be someone else at the agency that could help you. They should be able to contact the other aps and ask them if they would be ok with contact.

we used the same agency as you but as soon as we took Brooklyn home both social workers that were there left. HOWEVER, I have contact info. for one of them. If you PM me I can tell you which caseworker it was...maybe it was the one that handled Yuna's adoption. If not, can't the director help you with that information or one of the new case worker's that they have hired(I don't want to mention her name b/c I know we are not supposed to discuss agencies on here)????

That would only work if the other two babies were placed through the same agency, and I have no idea if they were or not.

I am in a similar situation as yours. birthmom doesn't want any contact and our DD has 9 siblings that I know of, possibly 10 or more (this is counting her birthmom & BF's children and their children together). One is a full sibling a year older than our daughter. I know her name and year of birth. I don't know if there is a way to make contact or if I should, but I try to get and keep as much info as I can for our daughter's future. She may want to find her brothers and sisters at some point.

I know what you mean about your SW being gone already so they are really no help. I used the agency you used, and even gave a recommendation to you. They've had such turnover that I can't get any answers from them. I got on court records, etc. to find out some info on my daughter's parents, siblings, etc. birthmom had sued for child support, etc. on the children she kept.
