OT- What to get my mom ...

I have no idea what to get my mom for Mother's Day. My brother passed away on November and I thought something that would honor his memory would be appropriate, but that is as far as I get, any suggestions?

I don't know if you've seen those birthwheels, but they are pretty popular now. I got one for Mother's Day last year and I haven't taken it off since! It's basically a wheel with birthstones in it that goes around a necklace. You can add to it when you have more kids. I'm assuming that your mom isn't having more kids, but I bet she would like it. It's small and simple and can be worn every day!

Sorry to hear of your Loss.
When My dad Died October 2002,,,I created a poem ( Relating to my Dad )and made them to fit into a small frame, and Gave one to my Mom,and Siblings for Christmas,,If you do a search of poems,,you can add your own special words to it relating to your Brother.
God bless you as you decide on a way to Honor Mothers Day !

Since there is nothing that my mother needs (including more jewelry), I will be making a donation in her name. You could make a donation that in someway would preserve the lives of other mothers' children it may be a beautiful way to honor your mother and brother. I am not well versed in all of the many charities that you could consider, the one that I give to is called World Vision. Also I received a book that I believe is title "Don't Cry Mommy" when my son died. It is targeted more toward mothers that have lost infants or miscarried, but I would imagine that even adult children are their mothers' babies forever. That may be a nice small something in addition to the donation if you went that route.

Are you talking about "Mommy Don't Cry, There Are No Tears in Heaven"? I agree, an excellent book when you have miscarried or lost an infant.
