Nursery pictures?

With all the pictures everyone is sharing (loving them!) it got me curious as to what your nurseries look like. We haven't gotten ours together yet so I'm just being nosy. Anyone have shots of their rooms to share?

Here's a couple of pictures of my favorite part of the nursery... her name above her bed. I need to take some pictures of her curtains since I got those up.... It "was" a neutral nursery until we brought her home, then I added some girlie touches!

It makes me sad to post pictures of Castle's nursery because I know it is my last, it's the third, and we are shopping for "big girl" furniture now. She will be three in May and it is just a matter of time before she figures out how to climb out of the crib.

Jessica is 16 months old, but I will go ahead and post pictures of her nursery with a surf theme. I painted the mural, ordered the surfboard sign & bought the other signs.

Your room is so nice. I like the bright colors in the mural. I have seen this mural before. I ordered one and painted it for our kids bonus room. I ordered the Jungle Stories.....

I LOVE that room snaps! Might I inquire as to how difficult it was to do? I mean are you naturally super artistic or could anyone who has no artistic talents (ie: me lol) do something like that with a guide or something?

I ordered a kit that gives you the design and tracing paper (the company that makes them sells lots of designs including jungle themes, space, cowboy, princess, etc - PM me if you want the name). Then you just figure out what colors you want to use. This design with the flowers is a little girly, but you could "boy" it up by painting the umbrellas and surfboard different colors and by not including the lei on the chair. You can use any type of paint you want, but I used the small bottles of acrylic craft paint sold at any craft store.

I will say that it didn't look that time consuming and I thought I was just going to whip it out in a weekend or two. It was a pretty long process. It took about a whole day just to trace the design (it is 8 feet long by 5.5 feet tall), but this particular mural is very complex (lots of small flowers and such). Then each part required a few coats of paint. It took a long time, but it was worth it (and it helped me pass the time until we got our daughter). I love how it turned out.

We are just about to start the adoption process again and I am trying to figure out how I will have the time to paint another mural with a toddler!

Thanks for the compliments!

Kimmiesue,

Where did you get the letters and the hangers for her name? That is so adorable!!! I would love to do that in ours.

i love red and now i love brown. i combined the 2 for our new nursery using our old furniture. since i didnt know until a few days before our baby was born what the gender was i went with gender neutral. i didnt want yellow or green - done that - i was glad to find something fun.
