Our daughter is everything to our family. Our only child. There are no words to express how blessed we feel. We hope she will never have major issues with her adoption. We plan on telling her the truth about why we feel she is with us. God's will.
We bless her birthparents often and she does know she is adopted.

i am a "grown-up" adoptee and i think it is great that you have told your daughter that she is adopted. i too have always known. i am sure your daughter feels just as blessed as you do to have parents that love her and she probably won't have any issues with being a dopted. but please understand that she will naturally be curious about her birth parents. know that they will never replace you her "real parents". god bless you and your family.

They were the best parents I could ever have. I found both my birth parents and sometimes I regret it. It wasn't what I expected it to be and now I carry the burden of guilt for locating them. I love my "real" parents; the ones who raised me with all my heart and soul. Your children too will love you just as much....

My husband adopted my biological daughter when she was five. He is the best dad! He to could not love her any more! He is her "real" dad!!!!! We are now in the process of adopting an older child together. We are all really excited.
