Work from home?
I remember seeing various posts about work from home opportunties from time to time here. I am making a HUGE change in my life and need a second income but I am not able to work 2 jobs away from home. If anyone currently does work from home, or knows anyone who does, it would be so awesome if you could PM me. Thanks in advance for any help, this means a lot to me.

Hi, I don't work from home full-time, but I have found a great way to make some extra money! Try Ebay. All you need is a digital camera, computer and some time to describe the items you will list for sale. It is really fun too. You can purchase a book called "Ebay for dummies" from Borders, Barnes & Noble, etc., but I taught myself. Just log on to [edited to remove retail website] and play around with the website. You can start by looking under the sell icon. You can even ship packages from your home using the USPS website to schedule pick up from your letter carrier. Good Luck!

I am interested in working from home too. I would love to hear from people that are doing it, there are so many scams out there. I do ebay a little already, I'll have to pursue it more heavily though. Please PM me too.

I posted this before when somebody requested work from home info....I make pretty decent money selling Partylite (and have lots of fun). I also do secret shopping (not quite as much fun, but have done some interesting things). If anyone's interested in either venture, shoot me a PM--

If you can find a good niche, eBay can work well, but most of the more popular categories are already pretty saturated with commercial accounts. In some categories it's getting hard to find decent used items amidst the flood of cheap new imports. It can be done, however. My wife has a friend who's daughter makes a pretty hefty annual income selling vintage clothing on eBay. She spends a couple of days each week hitting garage sales, estate sales, flea markets, etc., then markets it all on eBay. It's an underserved market, one that requires a good knowledge of the items being traded, and one that works mainly with items that aren't often found in pawn shops, so it's not as easy for the general dealers to make inroads. If you can find something like that to deal in, you can make a good income there.

I have also been wanting to work from home in my spare time. I found a couple options which aren't really options for me right at the moment. You have to have a high speed internet connection to be able to do these, and I live in a rural area which doesn't offer high speed yet.
But anyway, check out LiveOps, Alpine Access and/or West from Home. I've done my research and none of them are scams as far as I can tell. They are all companies which let you take phone calls from home and help customers of different companies. MSN reviewed some of them. Alpine Access (I think) was the only one which pays hourly ($9 I believe), no matter whether you are on the phone or not. The other two require you to be a subcontractor for them and I think they pay about .17/minute for actual talk time. And none of them EVER require you to call people or solicit something. You are just answering the phone for different companies. Let me know if anyone tries these out! I would love to do the Alpine Access one when we get high speed. ![]()

Thanks for the vintage ebay story. I had been considering it, because I love vintage clothing and hunting and digging for bargains. Hearing that it really does work is really encouraging me.
