OT: Lonely on the Eve of Christmas Eve

I will be spending my first Christmas in 16 years apart from my husband. He is currently in Iraq serving our Country. This is his second tour but he made it home from his first tour in time for Christmas.

I am so thankful for my daughter and for my foster daughter. Both of them keep me full time busy and they are the loves of my life. Thank goodness I have them through these holidays without my best friend.

I guess I wrote just because it is late and I am really missing my husband tonight. I have been online hoping to talk to him on messenger tonight.

Merry Christmas to All

Hey~just wanted to say I'm here for you! I'm also lonely on Christmas Eve. We've only been married for a year-and-a-half and he too is deployed overseas. Thankfully, we're over halfway done. I'm sorry for how you're feeling; I feel it too. Hang in there.

**HUG**

I hope your holidays are full of love from everyone around you. I hope your husband makes it home soon, too. My husband was deployed last year during this time of the year and it is definitely a miserable thing. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. Take care, and a big THANK YOU to him as well.

So sorry you are feeling lonely. It must be so hard not to have him around. I bet the girls miss him too. I hope your Christmas is filled with peace, love and joy.

My family really appreciates your families sacrifice this holiday.

I know it is hard at this time of year when your loved ones are so far away. I remember when my husband would be out on float and we would hold xmas until he came home. Thank you to your husband for what he chooses to do for this country.

Wishing you a Merry Christmas!!

I thank you and your husband for the courage you both have given to our country!

Praying for his safe return and all the others serving in our military!

Keep the chin up and like another said take lots of pictures to email to your husband. He will enjoy every picture you send.

Michelle

I can remember as a child when my Dad would be overseas (he was in the Navy) at Christmas time. It was so hard on my mom and the 5 of us kids. She would go way out of her way to make Christmas as special as possible.

God bless you and your family for all that each of you do for our country.

Have a very Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to you, and to everyone who is spending their day alone. Today I am thinking of so many people who are alone for one reason or another...

Your husband and you should be commended for both of your service to our country (military wives are providing service too... support and stability!).

Hugs,

Heres wishing you and your husband a very Merry Christmas . I know what you are feeling, I was in your shoes last year. I know that right now it is hard to believe but he will be home soon. Many blessings to you and your family. A prayer has been sent on your behalf.

Can I add something that is making this Christmas without my DH even crappier? He ordered flowers for me to be delivered today. They weren't delivered. Apparently, they forgot about me. Maybe if I was a civilian wife, and my DH wasn't in Iraq, I wouldn't be so upset. But I am heart-broken and crying. I was SO looking forward to this and this stupid flower shop ruined it.
